It seems cut off but i was saying that Its still stalling out at all gears, I constantly have to keep it revved as soon as I take my foot off the throttle it starts dying, there are times where my foot is on the throttle and the engine will stop throttling.

SOURCE: Engine stops while driving & engine revs high between gear change

hi i am dieter
im dave

here is something to try
keep some cold water with you and the next time it happens very quickly get out and pour the water on the crankshaft sensor then restart. If it starts right away without the usual two minutes than you will need to change this sensor. The sensor is easy to find you will see a wiring harness around the crankshaft pulley(the large one at the bottom the basically runs all your accessories like the p/s pump, alternator, water pump). Try to famaliarize yourself as to the location of the sensor first so that you can try to restart it within about 30 seconds.

SOURCE: car over-revving then stalling

check your idle air control motor or the throttle position sensor.

Alot of the new cars have a electronic motor that controls the butterfly valve in the throttle body, that could also be faulty and would require you to get a new throttle body, not cheap, but not outrageous in price most of the time.

If still not sure it would be best to take it to the dealer, they have specialized scanners and other tools that most regular shops do not have.

one reason for stuck in 2nd gear its anti theft if u have remvd fuses and replaced it takes it as tampering and the computer has to be reset which costs at audi agents but i got from autoelectrician that if u disconnect battery for ten minutes then re connect it re sets the onboard computer i had same problem and ive done it twice with mine with success could be same with yours try it its so inexpensive

SOURCE: Allroad Tiptronic Gearbox "holding" gears before changing up.

Have you had the vehicle put on a diagnostic machine, does the car feel slugish, any lack of power, we have seen a lot of these vehicles with air mass sensor faults. When they fail they do not show a code but with the right scanner they can be seen not working. This affects the gearchange because the ecu does not have the correct data to shift. Of course it could also be the transmission is in need of overhaul. but i would take it to a good diagnostic garage first. It is not uncommon for the air mass sensor to fail after it has been disturbed or knocked in the workshop. we have never found out why.

SOURCE: Right front electric window keeps opening by itself

it probably corroded the motor and or contacts. You can either take the motor out and try to clean it using elctromode, or replace it

Check ebay, they usually have a good aftermarket laying around for much cheaper than a dealer ship

2007 rav 4.Battery light came on, drove 20 miles on hwy. stopped, shut car off.started car with a very slow crank. Power steering was gone, all warning lights came on barely made it home. now dead.

Used your battery up just getting home. Now recharge the battery, and test the charging system- could be a bad alternator not charging the battery.

Normally, the alternator powers all the car's electrical needs when the engine is running. If the alternator fails, the battery will then be used to run the electrical needs until the battery is depleted, then the car will shut down. Dead, just like yours. No big deal, just find out why the charging system stopped.

Just put an alternator on and it charged for a day and it goes to 13 amps then own to 8 amps let it set for an hour it charges and does the same thing had the alternator tested and its good

I sure hope u mean volts and on the battery. If this is the case i would replace the batt. Especially if it older than 5 years. It could have a dead cell that's not wanting to hold a charge. Hope this helped

My 2000 cadillac has been sitting for @ 3 months and when i crank it only makes a ticking sound...what could be the problem....the battery is dead and when hooked up to battery charger does the same thing

OK, if the battery is dead, that may be expected for an older battery that sits for 3 months without charging.

I would try a new battery that has been charged up, and make sure the contacts at the sidemount are clean and shiny, and if not, brush with a wire brush until they appear clean.

On a 2000 Deville, it would not surprise me if the battery was older than 3 years, which is the average life expectency of a battery, based on my experience at Sears Roebuck & Co. as a battery installer.

Good luck on this repair.

Battery is dead 2004 nissan frontier v6

Check the alternator and battery clemmas/wires coming from alternator. It looks like no charge from it coming to battery. If it is second battery already this is the sign. You can do it free of charge at autozone store. But any way as a temporary solution you can buy battery charger ($25 walmart) and charge the battery back if battery is damaged you will see it right away (it wont be charging). After you charge battery back start the engine run it for 30 minutes (if Alternator OK it is enough to charge battery back), stop and start again. If no start alternator is a problem.
Good Luck

Battery dead . charge up will start. had battery checked o.k. but car will not make sound when tryed.

Start your car and while it's running remove the negative battery cable. If the car dies, the alternator has gone bad. If it stays running, check the big red wire at the back of the alternator and make sure there is no break in it before it gets back to the battery. Do a continuity test to determine this.
