Question about 1996 Mazda Familia
Hello, I've got a 1994 Mazda familia hatchback. now i had to replace a bulb on the headlights (that little vertical narrow light..parking light/running light) i did that, now none of the parking brakes/running lights work. i checked the fuses, all good and all the bulbs are ok. power is getting to the lights as the turn signals are running of the same circuit. could it be a sensor, but where is it. the parking brake connector is still attached and seems fine.thank you also, the alarm when the key is left in the ignition isn't working either.
Are you sure you pushed the wire connectors fully home? the alarm probably is disarmed when key in ignition, otherwise it would trigger when you want to start vehicle. The only other thing with your lights there may be a relay for that particular circuit check in the workshop manual hope this helps

The bulb actually has two seperate elements in it.
That is why the tail light works fine.
If you take the bulb out you will see the seperate elements.
Change the bulb and it should be fine.

Check fuse f3 located in fascia fuse box, below steering wheel just above data link connection 15AMP
Fuse under bonnet f7 also connected to dash/rear lights, but if this blows you would have no indicators as well
good luck barry

You'll have to inspect the brake light switch at the pedal box assy. Damaged switch or wiring could give the previous symptoms you describe.! Good luck
