Question about 1999 Daewoo Lanos
Have power going to fuel pump, but pump isn't working. Been having this problem now since I got the car, have changed relays and fuel pumps. Also checked all the fuses, when I turn the key I need the engine light to come on in the dash. But it isn't doing this so I know that the fuel pump isn't kicking in
Does the engine turn over but not fire? it may not be fuel to check remove one of the spark plugs and while you turn engine over get someone to look out for signs of fuel emmitting from open cylinder if there is a smell/puff of fuel check that you've got a sperk at plugs as a starting point if not get the OBD read

Tips for a great answer:

The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPEDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM
