Question about 2001 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab

2001 Frontier no AC, fan only blows on position 4 (high)

2001 Nissan Frontier 4cyl extended cab
For a while, the fan wouldn't blow on position 1 (low) then recently it would only blow on position 4 (high). Also, it no longer blows cold. I've verified the compressor is running, and my freon levels are acceptable, so I'm guessing it is an electrical problem.
Ideas?
Cheers!

When it blows on high only it is usually a blower resistor

You need to replace your cab filters. So do I but do not know how to remove them. They are bewing the glove compartment. I've taken out 3 screws and 4 8mm bolts. Can pry top and bottom apart a little and see them but havn't been abel to remove them yet.

Depends on the problem.
Is the compressor working when the engine is running ?
Is one ac line hot and the other cold ?
Have you checked to see if it is low on freon ?

2001 nissan frontier is blowing ignition fuses when you let out on the clutch in first gear and reverse

Hi Brent,

Wow! That is a dilema! The only thing I can think of is that there is possibly a wiring harness that is rubbed through and when the engine rocks when the clutch is engaged, the wiring harness is shorting to ground. If you can tell me exactly WHICH fuse is blowing I can possibly help you to locate the source of the problem. Please also include WHICH ENGINE your Nissan is equipped with and let me know if it is 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive.
