1992 SR5 Toyota 22RE fuel injected with manuel transmission. My problem is when truck is cold it seems to run good but once when it warms up I lose power. The engine will hesitate and will not go over 40 miles an hour. And exhaust smell really rich. I already checked for a plug cat. convertor. Had a resent tune up. The problem started after getting stuck in mud and broke some wires to the O2 sencor.
That's probably the problem the broken wires.
The 02 sensors send a rich/lean signal to the ecm. If they aren't working right, a lean or rich situation will occur. Best to get the wires fixed. If the wires broke off at the sensor, need to replace it.

Almost certainly a faulty cam sensor. This sensor suffers over time with the repetitive effect of getting hot and then cold along with the engine. The cam sensor determines when cylinder 1 is at compression TDC and this timing dictates the fuel injection cycle on the engine. If the cam sensor fails to report signals then the ECU fails to inject fuel appropriately and the engine stalls. Many times as the cam sensor gets hot it expands and any discontinuity becomes apparent. As soon as it cools down the cam becomes functional again.
in my 92 yota pick up the fuel filter is on the right side of the motor towards the bottom..(thats if your at the front of the vehicle).. for me my truck is lifted so i had to change everything from beneath the truck!
No This is A Fuel Injected Vehicle and the Pump & Injectors are on the SAME Fuse, This Should Be Checked FIRST, If Fuse is Good Most Likely FUEL PUMP FAILURE.
sounds like your fuel pump may be going out or you may have a clog in your fuel line. i would first replace the fuel filter because that is cheap ( like 10 bucks) then i would see if that does it - if not then i would replace the fuel pump.
