I hope you have made certain you have adequate oil in the engine! That determined, I am betting your pressure sending unit is defective. To know for certain, you will have to test the actual oil pressure with a guage. Remove the sending unit, attach the guage. It is possible you have a worn oil pump, a weak relief valve spring, or something preventing the normal flow of oil... but chances are it is a bad sending unit. Do you have a guage or just an oil light?

It could be anything from a faulty oil pressure gauge, to a mechanic's trick to keep you from finding out the engine is soon to expire. They sometimes unplug the gauge on purpose. Fords can run a little low on oil for a while without signs or problems. I'd start by checking your oil. If it is not low on oil, there is a sensor on the engine block you might want to replace, It should have a wire hooked to it. That is your sensor. If this doesn't work, go to the gauge itself.

I have oil pressure when I start the Truck then over time when truck warms up the oil pressure drops to 0

Sounds like you need to have the pressure checked with a mechanical gauge. Make sure the oil pressure sensor is in the loop when you do so the fuel pump will run.
If the pressure is normal when the engine is warmed up, it could be something with the instrument cluster.

1999 JIMMY OIL PRESSURE drops with RPMs after warm

Normal is 10w30.
If the oil pressure gauge is correct, my guess would be worn engine bearings and / or oil pump.

Have a 96 chevy cavalier. replaced IAC,fuel pump assembly, fuel filter, tested and adjusted TPS but still haveing problem with car shutting off after about 30 mins of driving. Also once "warms" up during...

If your oil pressure gets to low it can turn off the fuel pump. This may also have saved your engine. The ECM turns on the fuel thru the fuel pump relay for about 5 seconds. When engine is running oil pressure sender supplies the voltage to the pump. When engine shuts off check oil pressure and voltage to fuel pump.

I have a 2005 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel and It wont start after the motor gets warm. It also starts rough when cold. When it is running it runs great. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this same issue and luckily my F350 2006 was still under warranty. Basically there is a high pressure oil system that has a tendency to leak internally. You won't see any oil leak. When cold the oil has enough viscosity to keep the pressure sensor from not allowing the engine to start. When the engine is warm the system doesn't reach required pressure to allow the engine to start. In short it's a Ford dealer repair. Good luck.

Oil pressure is good when cold. when it warms up

Does it make any knocking noises? It sounds like the engine is worn to the point where the camshaft bearings or the oil pump needs attention. You might get away with a higher viscosity oil temporarily.

Low oil pressure after engine warms.....

A 1999 Yukon DOES NOT have a vacuum advance. It is computer controlled timing. Low oil pressure is the result of some or all of the following : worn oil pump, worn cam bearings, worn crank bearings. Oil pressure also normally drops as engine warms because the viscosity of the oil changes with temperature.
