Question about 2003 Dodge Neon
My key stays stuck in my ignition. I can start it, and turn it off without a problem. Is there any way to get my key OUT Of my lock until I can get my car repaired? I hate to leave my car sit in our parking lot the way it is now. I don't trust my neighbors.
Sounds to me like you will need to replace ignition barrel and new keys will be required , unless you are able remove key than this must be done ...

either you have the wrong key,or try turning the steering wheel to the right all the way, then turn key, this usually happens when you park the vehicle and the wheels are turned, then the steering wheel locks hard

turn the steering wheel gently side to side as you try and turn the key... sounds like the steering lock has engaged. it can also be a broken ignition switch... not the cyclinder ... the swithc itself

Your tumblers are worn. You can "Bump" the lock to get it to work, but this is a very temporary fix. To bump the lock, simply tap on the end of the key with something heavy like a short 2X4 , the heal of a shoe or something similar - while in the ignition while attempting to turn the key to the start position. DO NOT turn the engine back of until you get the car home or to a repair facility.
