You must have disconnected something on the throttle linkages when you changed the gasket. Also look for wires off sensors.

01 aurora 3.5 changed intake gaskets and now no spark. Ran when I started took checked all plugs and re gaped checked all fuses checked all elec con. Any idea?

Check your coil connection. That is where you are getting your spark in the first place. Start there. Maybe the coil plug is not connected, or the wiring leading to the coil became loose. I hope you didn't disconnect the wiring sequence because if you did to make the job easier then you will need to get the firing order to make the spark work on time with the engine. I hope this helps. GE

Changed the spark plugs and the old ones were covered in oil

i'm guessing that your car is a 4-cylinder. this is common for inline 4-cylinder engines. since the spark plug holes usually go through the valve cover, the valve cover gasket will leak and collect in the spark plug holes. to fix this you will have to replace the valve cover gasket.

How are the spark plug tube seals removed?

you have to remove the valve cover and flip it over to access them, best off to get a new valve cover gasket as well.

I have a 98 grand am blew a head gasket, ive had the heads reworked and new gaskets now the car doesn't start, just turns over. what could be the problem?

Check if you have spark at the spark plug. Go buy yourself one plug. Take any plug wire off plug in engine. Attach plug wire to new plug and touch a ground on engine with new plug threaded side. Have someone start engine and watch for spark. If spark exsist, look for fuel problem.

Oil in spark plug holes

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY DAUGHTERS CAR---CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS AND OIL IN THE HOLES OF THE SPARK PLUGS WIRE TOPS--- CHANGED THE VALVE COVER GASKET AND ITS BEEN CLOSE TO 4 MONTHS AND NO OIL AT ALL IN HOLES---IF YOU LOOK AT THE GASKET YOU CAN TELL IT LET THE OIL OUT---THE GASKET SITS INSIDE THE VALVE COVER VERY SNUGLY--THE OLD ONE WAS VERY LOOSE---AS FAR AS OIL GOING INTO THE SPARK PLUG CYLINDER IT WILL BLOW WHITE SMOLE FOR ALITTLE WHILE BUT EVENTUALLY BURN OFF---HOPE THIS HELPS---DENNIS

first check the firing order plug wires, then check the timing , not sure of this but check the timing by lossening the distributor while enging is running and manually rotate the distrubutor to adjust timing, by ear w/o a timing light. maybe need to be retarded or advance a bit. check auto maintence manual for firing order.
