A Suzuki swift in snakes clothing... or varies? just a hint helps.
which way is needle going, too high or low.?
did you do the 2 tests in the FSM.? for said gauge>
ground the fuel guage wire, and guage goes to max
then check the sender ohms (DMM dial to resistance)
here is the method. only the wire color change. if at all.
login to
this is tracker but is near same.
remove clusters.

the cluster shell 4 screws, see em. remove em.
the see cluster? see the 4 screws at edge, same deal.
the speedo cable is the only hard part, but why do all that.?
why not do the 5 sec. test.

i looked at my huge files for metro/swift and no gauge pages.
have all the others.
one way to do this test, is pull the wire to the tank and ground it.
gauge goes to FULL.
gage is good. (fail , then)
if you do that at the gauge, and it works then the wire from
guage to tank are open. (Low all time) if FULL all time, wire is shorted to the body.

Gas Gage always reads empty how to fix

This problem is caused by a defective gas gauge fuel level sending unit inside the gas tank. You will need to remove the gas tank and replace the sending unit for the gauge.

Wont start.. engine was makin a noise before it stopped, could it be a roken timtng belt and how do i check it

This is a good possibility that its broke. To test have someone turn crank over motor while you feel the tail pipe to feel if air is coming out if not its broken. You can also remove the timing belt inspection cover on the head and see if its broken.

Gas gauge

Remove the dash and remove the gas gauge pod - look for burnt circuits as this is the easiest part of the equation. Unless you hit something with the gas tank [ if you did - there will be a large dent in the tank] the problem mathematically lies in the gauge/wiring and not the tank/gauge.

Fuel gauge registers full when filled with 20mi and then drops to zero...still gas in the tank

The sender unit in the tank is the most likely cause. To test the panel unit, remove the wire from the fuel tank unit and gound it. The panel gauge needle should move up full scale to hot. Remove the wire from the ground and the gauge should return to empty. If this test is ok, the tank unit needs to be replaced.

My gas gauge doesn't work in my 2003 bonneville. What can i do to fix this problem, along with my broken gas gauge my heater in my drivers side seat is no longer working, i would appreciate any help thanks...

It might not be anything wrong with your fuel sending unit. Keep an eye on your other gauges. I own a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville GXP. All of my gauges have started acting erratically. It started with my Temp. gauge, moved on to my speedometer, and now my oil pressure , fuel level and batty volt gauges are affected too. Its a very common problem with GM vehicles.

You have a fuel gauge sending unit problem, the gauge is not the problem, the sending unit is in the gas tank, u must remove the gas tank to replace it.
