Question about 2010 Kia Forte
Battery died yesterday, check engine light on, got a jump and drove to work. Replaced battery on my lunch hour and check engine light went off. Drove a few miles and light came back on. Comes up as PO106-MAP/Baro pressure circuit range pressure. Car drives fine. Could this error be related to battery?
Did you check that battery is charging with a multi meter ? could be that your alternator has a fault . Icheck battery voltage with engine off and running , voltage should be approx. 12.48v with engine off and around 14v running . if no increase in voltage when running brushes in alternator will need replacing .
