Color coding a universal ntk/ngk o2 sensor to the car integra 96

You never use a Universal Oxygen Sensor & have to solder it in

Makes no sense

Buy an NTK from Rock Auto.Com & just plug it in

Front # 24169
Rear # 24546

SOURCE: 96 acura integra, show code 108 will map sensor

MAP stands for manifold absolute pressure. It will not cause your abs to come on. The systems are totally separate. When your abs light is on it only means the abs is turned off, and reg. braking is active.

The rotten smell comes from the cat converter. It is probably time to get a new cat installed and it may take care of the map sensor code. though you can't promise.

Hope this helps

1996. Which color wires go where?

There should have been an instruction sheet in the box with the sensor. If not, you may have to go back to the store and ask for one.
Most sensor brands are different.

Oxygen Sensor 4 wire wiring diagram/instructions

Such are "universal" parts! But what can the vendor do, if their "universal" unit has to substitute for 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire systems, without any modifications?

I am replaceing my existing o2 sensor with a bosch oe smartlink universal sensor. the existing wires are brown/yellow, gray, pink/black. and green. how do I wire the new sensor to the old wires?

you need the factory color code and the bosch color codes.
then wire per that. there is no other way. (universal)
that is the penalty for not using a PNP sensors, plug and play.
do not mess up,wiring the 1 heater to the CELL + wire
risks blowing out the senor or ECU. a $500 error.

here a list. 89-98 list.
first the bosch list ,with comments. my 91 , just and example.

all bosch unversals sensors have a paper inside,
and is very hard to read and understand.
my guess is it fails german translations.....
no biggy
your car is a 4 wire sensor.
on my cars 96 , the heater wires are non polar so are much easier. lets do them first.
the bosch color is.white, on my car its blk.
so i wired, bosch white to my cars black. x2
bosch gray is sensor ground, (special) wired to cars white wire.
every year, suzuki changes wire colors, not reading the FSM is FAIL.
and last my Bosch CELL+ pin is black and wires to my cars blue.
O2 are like battery CELLS, and are Polar.
Suzuki changed the blue color like a drunk sailor spends money.
a royal PITA. that is. LOL !

the for sure solution is to look it up in the FSM.
for all wire, find your blue, and win !

see the 9 times suzuki changes here, prior to 2004

did they change in 2006, ? Ill never know, as Suzuki is bust here.
nor will i pop for $15 to find out. When my Suz, dies, that be the end.
btw 2: the sensor colors on any suzuki are "NCA". FSM drawings.
no color assigned.
the colors mentioned are HARNESS colors in the sensor side.
suzuki uses many different brands sensors and colors, or reserves the right to do so at anytime. Bosch, NGK, Delphi, etc.
tricky huh? thus the pages , linked.
back in 1996 they should have set ISO standards but did not....

i hope that is not confusing.
but in a nut shell.
1: grab bosch sheet,
2: grab the car schematic, for ECU. (fsm, or alldata, or mitchells)
there is your answer.
no man as the blue wire color on all car or all suzuki;'s
not yet. tell my yours and ill update my records.

2001 Cadillac Deville oxygen sensor wiring diagram

The wiring diagram shows the wiring color code, Power rating and connector plug used. The wiring diagram explains the vehicle's electrical connections with color code. It's a bit complicated to understand.

P1132-- Lack of HO2S11 Switch ,sensor indicates lean

Many things could cause the code

The code is for the front or upstream Oxygen Sensor
on the right side of the motor. That is the 11 in the code
description. One for front sensors & one for right side

I would change any O2 Sensors on all your vehicles
that have 100,000 miles on them

Only change the ones before or in the exhaust converter,
not the rear or monitors

You don't need a repair shop for that

Buy from Rock Auto.Com
I would get NGK/NTK or Bosch

If you get a little longer wire, just coil &
wire tie away from exhaust pipe
The connector will be white vs: the original
blue or green,same thing,same vendors

That is a preventive maintenance item like
spark plugs.

Do the spark plugs every 3 years & clean the MAF Sensor
every year (CRC MAF Cleaner)

How do i replace o2 sensor

Use a 22mm or 15/16" wrench,both same size

If you have room, use an O2 Sensor Wrench

You only replace the front upstream sensors, at
100,000 miles or before, if they fail

The rear monitors -- only when they fail

Sensors are both in the exhaust converter inlets

Rock Auto .Com ---for parts (too expensive for same item
& brand at auto parts)

Bosch or NTK/NGK

Does anyone know where i can get an O2 sensor for a 4G93 GDI cedia?

The supplier is either NTK or Denso. The easy way to locate one is to get the following style numbers from the probe end just above the nut:

NTK = Example OZA22-E15

Denso = 2940001356

Once you have the number type it into Ebay / Google and see if anyone is selling them

If wire colours on yours are either 2 x White, 1 Black & 1 Grey or 2 x Black, 1 White & 1 Blue then these are standard Zirconia and you could try a universal lambda sensor.

O2 sensors wiring diagrams

Locate the wires running off from the O2 sensor. There should be two. The black wire is the ground wire. The other wire, which may vary in color, supplies power to the sensor.

  • 2 Connect the power lead to the corresponding connector on the chassis's wiring harness.
  • 3 Connect the black, or ground, lead to the corresponding connector on the factory wiring harness.
  • 3 wires, "how do i wire it" are simply explained. all universal 3 wire o2 sensors will have 2 wires one color, the other wire a different color. the 2 that are the same color are ground and power for the heater and it doens't matter which one is which. so ground to the motor, power from the gray wire on the fuel pump, or anywhere you want to pull 12 volts while the car is running. i have a dedicated fan relay that doesn't use the ecm and runs off the key, so thats where i went. the different color wire goes to the stock sensor wire, it's the signal.

I got 2 codes off the check engine OEM today... P0171 P2243 I'm thinking O2 sensor, but AutoZone didn't have Hyundai listed. Where can I find Bank 1, Sensor 1? How many O2 sensors does the 06 elantra...

It has two sensors. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is inside the engine bay under the metal heat shield on the front of the engine. Check out NTK sensors online. The one you need will be a 4 wire sensor. The NTK part number is 24588.
