Free radio codes

There isn't a 'Reset Code'. There is only an Access Code. This code is a secret.

Your dealership will give the code if you show them your registration document. It's their duty to give it to you free of charge.

It maybe on a small white paper sticker in the side of your glovebox or in the manual.

Or you can buy the code, but you need the serial number on the back of the set.

No, the stereo unlock code cannot be retrieved with the VIN.

You can get the unlock code for free from any Honda Dealer. You will need to give them the stereo serial number from the back of the stereo or written on a card (or possibly the manual) provided when the vehicle was new. If the dealer removes the stereo to retrieve the serial number they will charge around $100.

DANGER: Do not try to enter the code randomly! The stereo will lock out after 10 incorrect attempts.

Daewoo codes are only available from the Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service.

They are not available for free from anywhere on the Internet

Some of these older Toyota radios use hardwired codes so you will need specialist advice

You don't---unless you contact the original owner. Throw that garbage Blaupunkt radio away and buy a 100 dollar stereo (free installation!) at your local electronics retailer!

You can go to a Volvo dealer and they can check the code in the system with your radio serial number, and this should be free of charge.

Open your glove box and look on one of the side panels. Your radio code should be there.
