Question about 2007 Honda Accord Sedan
Diesel problem, cuts out when u boot it then cranks for ages until starts.sometimes goes into limp mode
This is one for the dealer/shops Ian. The Honda diesels are a bit more involved than say an old Cummins. lol I would let them test it with the latest hardware. Also there are some Service Bulletins out on them too. And of course Honda has all the latest of those too. Honda doesn't release anything up-to-date to public/independent shops. To get the latest and greatest, ya gotta go to Honda. Good luck

the vehicle may have a electrical problem and or mechanical problem in the trans....id try replaceing the solenoids and then the entire transmision and torque converter.

I have a '99 accord also and had this exact problem a couple of years ago. I took it to a Honda dealer, they knew what the problem was as soon as I told them. I think it was the starter or ignition switch?? It was a recall item though and they fixed it without charge. No problems since then.
