You have blown a fuse likely, but could have also blown out the voltage regulator. I would recommend taking the alternator in first and having it checked. Most parts stores will test it free if you carry it in. Takes 5 minutes.

How do u reset a security system on a 96 ford mustang

Try disconnecting both battery terminals, Wait about 30 minutes. Touch both terminals together +/- , Be sure not to touch battery while touching both hot -n- ground together for a few seconds. Then put the hot/red cable back on the battery-tighten. Then put on the ground to the - side of battery. Start your car- push brake pedal to the floor push lock/unlock button. and see if it worked. If not replace battery in key fob. make sure you put hot to the hot side/ and ground to the ground side of battery!!!!.

Car running fine cut it off now want start make noises like battey is low but wont jump start

That's usually a corroded, burnt, crusty or loose battery terminal (connector), post, nut or wire. A seasoned mechanic knows how to check, tighten and clean all battery connection points and that lousy cheap cables can prevent a successful jump. You can check your battery in another car to see if it has the cold cranking amps necessary. A starter and a battery usually will go intermittent before going totally bad. it is dangerous around explosive fumes, such as a charging battery or fuel, but pass-touching or bumping the pos/neg jumper cables together for a quick test of battery and/or cable power has been the old way of testing for good power at the cables and battery. A good connection will spark very bright and loud - experience a good battery a few times and it is easily learned. Jumping from another battery without running the jumper engine will take a much stronger jump battery, even with good cables - starting the jumper car and letting it charge the dead battery for 3 or 4 minutes is usually enough for a good battery to come back enough to allow start. (Leave the cables on for the start attempt). Don't accidentally touch the cables together while still connected to either battery, they can fuse/weld and burn. Battery acid is toxic, smelly, explosive and will eat holes in your clothes. Don't drop a battery. Don't overcharge a battery, if it smells it is dangerous. I always blow away fumes as I am connecting battery cables. I turn off everything in the car when connecting them.

Jumpstart 1995 oldsmobile aurora

I'm not sure if the Aurora is a special type of car that requires a different way of jumping, but when u jump start most cars, you place the red end of the jumper cables on the positive/ red side of the battery and the black end on the negative. You want to make sure the jumper clamps are touching the metal part of the battery post (so if there's covers on the battery posts, move them so the cables have good connection. The same procedure is used on both cars. Be careful not to touch the end of the cables together, as doing so will make them spark if one end is connected to the running vehicle. Let your car charge a minute then try to start. If it starts, let it charge for 5-10 minutes and run/ drive your car after disconnecting to make sure the battery does not die the next time you shut it off. If it does not start after a few minutes of charging, adjust the clamps to make sure they have a good connection, wait 2-5 minutes longer & try to start your car again. *It is normal to hear the car that is jumping you idle more quietly when your car starts pulling juice from the charged battery. Also, remove jumper cables after charging, making sure not to touch the ends togther- as it will spark again. *it is not necessary to shut off the car that's jumping you before attatching the cables, or after charging. If your car still doesn't start after repeatedly adjusting cables and trying other cables to see if it is the cables not working, you may need a new battery or alternator. I would have the battery tested to see if you need a new battery before considerring the altinator.
