This is a risky operation for the home machanic as will involve removing and recharging the a/c gas ,if you have this taken care of are you looking for the part or how to do it?

Hi all I have subaru legacy manual twin turbo1999 BH5 and I must swap the engine from BG5 automatic. If's any diffrence conection to the engine between manual and automatic garbox?

Recently I rebuilt a 2.5L with a double OVH cam. Make sure that there are the same number of bolts connecting the engine to the bell-housing. If everything matches then it should work. I used my old engine and replaced all of the damaged parts and reused it.

I have a 2008 Avenger,purchased 2007.August 18 2010 the a/c compressor was replaced at the dealership. On August 25 2011 the compressor is no longer working and needs to be replaced and of course the...

There are no problems at this time that i know off but this is not good, i would call dodge and talk to someone about this, go over the dealers head and tell them you had a problem with it and the dealer fixxed it and now again another bad compressor,this may be due to a bad compressor, i have seen this before with other cars, a new compressor just goes bad, it could be poor manufactoring or if they had to cover this the first time they may have used a rebuilt comprosser which i have found to be junk for the most part, all you can do is try to see if dodge will help if not maybe have some other garage check it.good day.

The a/c compresser just stop working. First time it stop working it was a fuse. This time the fuse is good but still not ingageing

in this case the comprosser it self will have to be replaced along with the drier because it seem to be shorted out.

AC blowing only hot air. How can I tell if it is the comprosser and just needs recharged?

When the engine is running, turn the AC on and watch the tachometer if you see the RPMs dip slightly then the compressor is kicking on. You should also be able to hear a new sound coming from the engine (do this with the hood lifted).

If you hear it come on and see the RPMs dip slightly, then the compressor is probably still good and it just needs to be re-charged.

I have 1999 Volkswagen Beetle with 2.0 and Sanden SD7v16 A/C compressor. Does it take a special puller to remove and install the clutch

Almost all a/c compressors for the last 20 years require a puller/installer. Look at the hub where the retaining nut on the compressor shaft is... look for threads inside this hub. If they are there you will most certainly need the tools. Remove the retaining nut from the shaft, screw the puller into the hub's internal threads, tighter the center bolt on the puller to push against the compressor shaft. This pushes the clutch off. To install, screw the center section (bolt) of the installer over the threaded shaft, turn the outer portion to push the clutch back onto unit. This will all become clear once you see the tools. Make certain you obtain the correct tooling as there are different pullers/installers for various compressors.

Do u mean your vin number or engine number? vin number apears in several places it can be located on dash drivers side in front by windshield or on sticker on door jam or in engine bay located on fire wall. For engine number it is located on block right next to where the block meets the transmission its stamped on msall flat surface there also sometimes under hood on sticker.
