Could be worn bolts ,did you use a thread lock when replacing bolt ? if not i'd try that first also copper slip grease to all parts that are metal to metal ie pads top and bottom where they sit in carrier etc

By you wiggling it then of course it will make a noise . It is a loose unit that self aligns when in operation and doesn't move like when you wiggle it. The pads are in constant contact with the disc rotor ( held off by the air flow from the spinning rotor )so the movement is very much restricted . Any problem with the rotor will move the caliper to adjust to the problem

SOURCE: how take off pins not bolts on caliper 87 Ford Ranger front brake

The pins / wedges just tap out use a scewdriver on the metal edge of the pin just tap it out to the rear and when putting them back in just tap them back in from the front. You will see they are diamond shape and metal cased around rubber very easy to do just take your time.

Can you change the back brakes on a 94 cutlass supreme without using the spanner type tool and by just removing some bolts

Most likely not. I have used two people and a pair of long needle nose pliers. Most car parts stores will loan you tools as well.

On a 1994 olds cutlass supreme do the front calipers screw in or push in?

They just push in,best to open the bleeder before pressing the piston in,keeps the old burnt fluid from getting into the abs system, also makes it easier to push in.

How do you compress the rear calipers when

Yes they screw in. You need a tool to do this. Most parts stores have them. It looks like a 1 inch square with small pins coming off of it.

How do u change rear break pads on a 1992 olds cutlass

Jack up the front end - SAFELY...
Put on jack stands & chalk the rear wheels..
Pull the tires off..
Disconect the calipers. Usually takes a allen wrench..
Pop out the old pads..
Before snapping the new ones in you need to open up the calipers..
So - open the master cap..
To open the caliper I use a sea clamp.. Set the seaclamp so the on end will be against the inner cylinder & the other part of clamp on the calipar housing or mount.. Force the cylinder into the calier & opening it.. This way the new pads will get over the roter..
Put the calipers back on & sucure well..
Repeat in rear if has rear disc..

I can't seem to compress calipers for replacing rear disc brake pads, why?

open the blled valve and try to compress, if it does not compress make sure your emergency barke is not on, if it's not on then compress calipers if it won't compress you may have a sticking caliper,if sticking remove one caliper and push the brake pedal down it should dislodge the stuck brake caliper if not you have a bad master cylinder check valve.
