Remove the surrounding cowling to ign switch, very important DISCONNECT the battery first making sure the door is open so it doesnt lock on you ,on the top of the ign switch is a protruding pin this needs to be drilled out and completely removed ,long nose pliers will be required after drilling to remove the pin ,the ign switch will then be free to pull out.Drilling this pin will be labourious and time comsuming but is the only way to be able to remove the ign switch.Good luck keep me posted

Ignition switch

hi. its very unlikely that you will ever remove the broken key from the barrel. your best bet is to replace the barrel complete with key. from a breakers yard.

Hello,
It sounds like you may have a bad ignition switch. That may be the first thing that I would have checked.

Good luck!

Key fits into ignition but will not turn

Bad ignition switch. I fixed a problem like that with a 1999 Toyota Sienna. The cylinder is broken in internally. Need the replace tumbler, (just the key part not the electrical part) However it may be hard to get by itself. Good Luck
