How to properly remove motor

Hey, I bought myself a lemon and have no choice but to replace the motor. I don't have much experience with motors but due to being laid off have no choice but to take on the task myself. What would be the best advice a professional like yourself could give me?

Do you know or are friendly with a workshop that will let you use some equipment as you will need more than just general home mechanic tools .Get a technical manual for your vehicle so you have a referance every step of the way ,and ,as you will find out taking out the motor is a lot easier than putting one back so i would not attempt this if i do not have the workshop manual beside me .Hope this helps, dont want to put you off doing it yourself but from experience having a manual will def save you time, money and a lot of swearing !!!!

Pulling a motor is the last resort so can you give more information as to why this motor is a lemon. To often I read on this site advice from repair shops that say" better get a new motor or gear box " simply because they see a punter in view and a quick buck.. You say that you are not rolling in cash so the next motor may not be much better than the one you have . So if you have the time to write in the comment box tell us what is making it a lemon and be guided by any advice you receive as it may surprise you as to what the fix may be

How do i change the starter motor

you don`t say car and motor or year. the basics is find starter, get proper size sockets and tools to remove starter, disconnect electrical wires and ensure they don`t short out, undo starter and remove from car, install reverse order.

My 02' Grand Caravan front A/C is not blowing in the front

Could be the fuse for the front blower motor, or worse the motor itself.

Choice A is easy and not expensive. Choice B could be somewhat pricey, or really pricey if the dash has to come out for blower removal/replacement.

Nissan Quest 2004 Driver Window will not raise? How do you tell if it is the window motor or switch that needs to be replaced? The window is in the down position, i see 3 screws holding the motor in place....

can you hear motor when switch is pressed if not check switch ,the motor sits in a regulator that controls the windows movement, you need to remove the door trim to get to the regulator which holds the motor,if you have very limited skill i wouldnt attempt it through trying to save money,

I bought the new blower motor resistor for my 95 nissan maxima. what are the steps to install the new resistor ? Im not a mechanic but have no choice but to try and do this myself. thanks

The blower resistor should look like a credit card if it is manual air and it is located near the blower motor. Remove connector and then two screws and it should slide out. Replace with the new one. If you have auto air then the blower motor is regulated by a fan control amp which is located behind the glove box.
