With out looking at it I would look at the heater hose that plugs in to the intake manifold, there bad, it looks like a quick connect there is a fue O-rings in there that the aluminum rots them out and iv all so seen the head gaskets go on them too....

Audi a6 quattro 2.8 coolant leak

First of all, are you sure it is a coolant leak and not the natural draining of the Air Con., a leak on piping to or from the washers, condensation from the exhaust etc.?
Does the coolant level drop significantly and if so, how much and over what period?
Can you collect in a tray the liquid that is leaking? What does it look and smell like and what colour is it?
Does it leak with the air con disconnected?
Does the heater work properly?
When you say that it is leaking 'right under the middle', I presume you mean the middle of the car. If you park over a newspaper, where does the drip end up (which might not necessarily be immediately below the leak)?

The coolant light flashes on but the temp gauge does'nt go past the middle when the car is running

YOUR TEMP GAGE WILL NOT REGISTER CORRECTLY WHEN THE COOLANT FALLS BELOW A CERTAIN LEVEL. WHEN IT IS SMOKING IT IS EXTREMELY HOT. IF YOU HAVE A COOLANT LEAK THAT BAD IT SHOULD BE NOTICEABLE EVEN WHEN IT IS NOT HOT. YOU NEED TO FIND THE SOURCE OF THE COOLANT LEAK. WATER PUMP, COOLANT HOSE, FREEZE PLUG, HEAD GASKET, RADIATOR CAP LEAK, OR RADIATOR, OR HEATER CORE. CHECK THE ABOVE AND YOU WILL FIND THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK.

Coolant leak, top middle engine from molded hose

Hello,

When a coolant leaks from the top middle from the engines molded hose. Its only solution is for you to replace the hose. It cannot be fixed by sealing with an additive.

The only solution is for you to replace the hose with a new one. If you want to do it the DIY way, there are steps to take in replacing it, it is quite simple but technical, all you have to do is to trace the hose to the middle of the engine and to the other end where the hose is connected. Be sure that your coolant is empty before replacing the hose, then remove the old hose and fit in a new one.

Take care and good luck.

Leaking anifreeze and gets hot but not from radiator causes windshield to fog up smoke coming from passenger side and seems to be leaking from the middle of the truck

Do you have any coolant on the passenger side floor board? Coolant causing the radiator to fog up is a symptom of a leaking heater core.

Heater gauge goes past the middle part and many times fluctuates...

Check for low coolant, with an intake gasket leaking. Most of these I see have an intake gasket leaking coolant which when the coolant gets low, will run hotter and fluctuate the temp gauge.

Leaking coolant by pass.side-middle close to firewall. eng.temp gets hot

Sounds like the water pump, it will fling coolant as it leaks when the engine is running, also check the heater hoses and if coolant seems to come from the bottom of car and not the engine then it is a heater core leak.
