Can't unlock my 2007 Chevy impala with the key fab until I unlock the door with the key. When I park the car and exit the vehicle I can lock it with the key fob, but after a few minutes I cannot.

Battery is weak in key fob. You will see a small slit in edge of key fob. Pry it open to see what battery you need. Most are pretty common, cheap and easy to find.

USING PRESS TO START KEY

Hello Kenneth,
You should check the Key FOB. The FOB is not near enough to the sensor, so the car security system thinks you are trying to steal the car and therefore shuts it down. Maybe the battery in the FOB are weak?!
Good Luck.

My keyfob for sentra 2007 isn't working

Key fobs are battery operated. The battery may have died. I suggestgoing to an auto parts store. Many of them now have tester by the check out.You point your fob at the tester, push a button on the fob, and the tester will indicate whether it is working or not. There will be batteries there as well. Some testers are go-nogo machines. Some will register a weak signal, letting you know the fob works but the battery is weak. Good Luck.

Key not detected

Hello, lots of vehicles are having issues like this, the best thing would be to have it relearned or you may be stuck some where with NO help for a long time or having the vehicle towed to the dealers. Check with the lock smiths they also clone key fobs.

Panic mode started out of the blue

BAD FOB?
or battery weak in fob?. replace them?
always have 2 fobs, so you can isolate problems and not get stranded.

is running engine charge lamp out?

or the button on the fob, panic, is bad,
to prove this take the battery out of FOB in use
and use the spare fob with fresh battery.
this proves its the fob, see how?

Hi have a 2004 Monte Carlo that makes a "clicking"" noise when you lock or unlock the doors. Now the key fob isn't working. When you remove the key and the car powers down, it also begins...

Could be a bad relay. Or Programming to fob has been lost.. See if you can reprogram the key fob. Check website for procedure and see of that solves the problem..Check the obvious ..a weak battery in the key fob.

Remote start and door locks will only work from 10 feet or less

i had the same problem... go through the menu until you see reprogram remote. hit the check mark button and hold the lock and unlock button until the horn honks. key has to be on car not running though. You will eventually have to do it again but for some reason it will work for a while.
