Is a 2000 5-4 Triton V8 Ford motor compatible with a 99 5-4 Triton V8 Ford motor will the heads are the heads both the same on each model

You may be able to ask a Dealer to look at the Vin# ID for the truck to verify. The older 1999 used 3 valves and then the next year or so the engine changed to 4 valves. This was also when the 1999 body style was carried into 2000 for the Heritage Edition. Can not say if the old style body made as a 2000 Heritage had a different engine. The older models did not have "Cam Phasers" which were problematic on the newer generation engines. Sometimes parts stores have access to Vin# requirements in their parts manuals.

Replaced the head and Im not getting spark, what could it be?

Check all your grounds very carefully. Newer cars are quite sensitive about grounding and one missing ground can throw the whole works off.

I have a 2004 Ford F-150 5.4 triton and I was reading a bad code retaining to the coolant temp sensor so i replaced the cylinder head temp sensor as shown and now I'm reading a code for the cylinder head...

You have to clear the codes. Go to your Ford dealer (not all can do this). The cheaper solution is go to your local auto parts store and ask them to clear the codes. It's usually free. Sometimes some codes won't come off when you use the "remove the positive cable from your battery and touch it to the negative post for about 10 seconds". Careful hear, do it right as if you get a spark you are doing something wrong. As to the auto parts store they can or should give you all the codes including the new ones as I think you didn't disconnect the battery when you you changed the sensor.

My 1999 mercury grand marquis keeps throwing a plug. Mechanic says if it happens again I need to replace the whole head. Is this true?

You install spark plug inserts in the head

There are at least three of those tools avail

Lots to read about that problem on the internet

It went on from 97 thru 03,some 7 years, then ford
came out with a 3 valve 5.4 v8 that had two piece
spark plugs & they broke off for years.

The heads were designed with not enough thread
in the heads for the plugs & ford didn't care to resolve

You can read for days on just about any vehicle problem
on any vehicle going back 20 years

You don't or I wouldn't be pulling heads on a 14 year old car

2003 mountaineer V8 Temp gauge jumps to hot not over heating. Replaced thermostat, no change

The Engine Temp. sensor is bad. it is under the intake manifold. if there is a miss also check under the coils over the spark plugs. If there is Coolant in the spark plug holes .then the intake gasket is leaking. The intake manifold needs to come off to change the coolant sensor. When off look for corrosion on the cylinder head at the coolant port. If there is corrsion then the cylinder head must be replaced.

Need to know where the coolant temperature sensor is located on a 2002 Lincoln ls 3.9 V8 engine any help would be highly appreciated

The coolant temperature is read off of the (CHT) cylinder head temperature sensor. It is located on the inside on the passenger side (right) cylinder head and is connected to the harness through Ford connector C107. The Ford basic part# is 6G004. It's connected by WH/VT and BR/WH wires to pins 40 and 17 of the vehicles PCM (computer). Keep in mind that if the coolant level is low, if there is air in the system, or if there is a wiring concern, you could have concerns with this sensors reading. Good luck.

It is easier to remove/install sensor from under vehicle.

Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect electrical connector at CMP sensor (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Remove sensor mounting bolt (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Carefully twist sensor from cylinder head.
Check condition of sensor o-ring.
See picture for sensor location.
