Question about Nissan Sentra
The stereo volume creeps its way up to 10, and when I turn the knob, nothing happens. Can I repair this?
You can't bbeacudse they will nopt sell the parts to anyone but a repair facility. Do an internet search for radio repair shops that do Nissan radio reapir.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

This is a known problem with the factory units and no, there is no fix. There is a series of checks you can do, but short of that the only option has been to replace the unit. I have included the graphic for the checks, other than that it is not fixable.

this info comes from 12volt.com :

RADIO SWITCH = purple
RADIO ILLUMINATE = red/white
POWER ANTENNA = green/white
LF SPEAKER = (+)blu/wht (-) blu/yel
RF SPEAKER = (+)brown (-) brn/wht
LR SPEAKER = (+)lt. grn (-) blk/yel
RR SPEAKER = (+)blue (-)pink
this info comes from alldata :
LH FR SP (-) GRN/YEL

Omega and alldata match , i expect the second set to match .
obviously only one of these color codes match your radio , which ever one matches , is the one . cheers

It 's the unit. bring it to a repair facility( fairly easy to remove) and have them do the repair . Its a lot cheaper than buying a new unit. If you decide to do this let me know and I'll tell you how to remove and install the unit.
