Car vibrates when idle

5.7 liter engine on this, the car makes a vibrating when slowing to turn and steady while at stop light, or traffic light but seams to be not so bad when driving.

SOURCE: Vibration when in gear, and stalling.

The problem is the torque converter solenoid. I had it happen on my 94 Cavalier a few years back and was a cheap fix at the local car mechanic. What happens is the transmission warms up and hits a certain speed where the solenoid engages, but then it sticks and won't disengage until it cools down sufficiently. When it sticks, it causes the car to shake when slowing down and will snub out the engine if you come to a stop.

SOURCE: Inordinant amount of vibration during acceleration

Clunking can be from c/v joints, hub bearing, lower ball joints or strut tower bearings, also from engine mounts (I know you checked but with a stickshift car it's difficult to load it properly without frying the clutch) Vibration likewise is difficult to find when it happens under load for same reason.A code check may or may not give you much to work with and O2 readouts often come from something other than an O2 sensor failure, rather from a failure upstream that sends the exhaust mixture beyond the sensors range.
It's impossible to make a diagnosis on these problems on-line because being there is important in doing this kind of diagnosis. I suggest you seek the opinion of a well trained experienced tech.who can actually be there to observe and test.

SOURCE: vibration on the engine, change motor mount all

Check the idle control system, also check if all the injectors are working. Provided you already changed the spark plugs.

SOURCE: S10 Extreme has drive shaft vibration and shop

Could be a u-joint. Check it by moving the drive shaft side to side, if no play in the u-joints then they are not bad. If you need to replace the drive shaft I would suggest you find one at a salvage yard versus paying that much for a new one.

SOURCE: 93 Lumina 6cyl 3.1 engine shaking @ overdrive gear

check your camshaft and crankshaft sensors. When defective, it may cause stalls, misfires, loss of power. Also have check the engine for vacuum leaks. Hopefully this helps!!

I have a 2001 gallant es and when am in drive and am stopped at a red light it states to vibrate but when am driving it stops, When I drop it in neutral it stops I've done a tune but it didn't fix it

might be your engine idle is low and is slowed even more by the torque convertor when stationary. In neutra there is no drag on the torque convertor and idle is allowed to stay faster hence no vibration

My car makes loud sound when i drive and the car shakes and vibrates when i stop at a red light and still keeps making the loud stound . any idea whats the problem and how much it will cost me around

Have the sound investigated immediately as from your description it may be a major engine failure in the making. If it is then the fix will be another engine and that will be expensive.;

Steering wheel vibrates when Im stopped at a light

You may have front brake rotors which are slightly warped. The ABS only comes into play under very hard brakeing conditions. Typically you may also feel a slight pulse in the brake pedal as you slow down.That would be my best guess.If you have a vibration when you are stopped, that may be a motor mount issue. Either the front and/or rear mount may be weak.They are designed to isolate small engine vibrations you might feel when the car is at a stand still The motor mounts are designed to isolate small engine vibrations at a stand still at idle as well as limit the amount of travel the engine can make under a load. As a car gets older, the rubber which is what the mounts are made of get harder and often collapse slightly and can cause your condition because they are no longer plyable.Maybe this might shed some light on your problem. Good luck.
