Question about 2012 Ford F-150 XL Regular Cab Pickup 3.7L V6 FFV 6-speed Automatic 6.6 ft. Bed
Have trouble getting in and out without a grab rail handle on the driver's side. It also has a speaker built into it.
Grab rails are not normally put on the driver's side. You might want to look into getting a running board or step put on to aid getting in and out of the truck.

Testimonial: "Thanks but the 4X4 came with a running board type step rails but it is still along reach up and in to grab the steering wheel for a short person with a knee replacement. Electric lift running board rails are $1200 and not sure that would even include the installation. Thanks anyway. One way to look at it is that it will keep my wife out of my truck! :-)"

You will have to open it from the inside-Yes, I have done it and it takes about 15 min. or so.-I have also posted about 40 images, after I opened the door-In an effort to contribute a little to all the lost souls with the Curse of the F150 3rd Door issue. Hope this helps-BTW I just did this on 12/04/2011-found my particular issue-I will need a new cable, so I'll have to go to the dealer tomorrow and buy one. Also included images of the tools needed-Good Luck!
