Grab rails are not normally put on the driver's side. You might want to look into getting a running board or step put on to aid getting in and out of the truck.

Testimonial: "Thanks but the 4X4 came with a running board type step rails but it is still along reach up and in to grab the steering wheel for a short person with a knee replacement. Electric lift running board rails are $1200 and not sure that would even include the installation. Thanks anyway. One way to look at it is that it will keep my wife out of my truck! :-)"

How to fix and replace passenger grab handle on peugeot 207

This will be a general response because I am not familiar with your vehicle but most of it applies to all vehicles. The handle/arm rest should have a couple of screws in it and the lock, if up by the window will have a cap that pulls off or the whole thing will pop off. From there it is just some plastic snap in connectors that pull out if you just grab gently around the door panel. You will have to remove the door panel to get the screws that hold on your grab handle. Before you go to all of that trouble I would check that there are not just some simple concealment covers on either side of the grab handle that you can pull separate and access the screw heads for that piece alone.

2006 scion xb driver window wont close

Hi Jim, Sounds as if the window motor is becoming weak. This can be due to dust having built up in the rails or a defective motor. Open the door and remove the screws affixed just below the arm rest. Very gently lever up the power window controls, unplug them and remove. Unscrew the door release handle and un clip and then remove it.Take a flat tool (sneak into the kitchen and take a flat pastry knife, you'll need to keep that a secret as those in the kitchen sometimes complain like hell) With your new tool insert it at the bottom of the panel and gently release the clips holding the door panel to the door. Once removed put it aside. At the bottom of the window there are bolts which hold the window to the rail. With the window in a position where access is possible, remove those and the carefully slide the window to fully closed and place the broken broom handle you have been hit with when the theft from the kitchen was discovered, to hold up the window. You can use anything else suitable too! Remove the bolts holding the motor assembly to the door. Next make very sure your fingers and hands are not anywhere they can be trapped by the mechanism. Plug back the switch and operate it until it can be removed from the door. Un plug the switch and the motor. Clean the rails with a suitable cleaning agent, but nothing liquid! Carefully lower the window making sure to keep it in the rails and clean the upper part of the rails. Now you need to decide if you are going to replace the motor or maybe give yourself a double job by re installing it and having the same thing happen again. If you have the time try it but if not get a replacement. The assembly is opposite to removal. Don't forget to feed the harness for the switches through before fixing the panel back. Hope you get fed this evening. Regards John .

I have a 1995 GMC K3500, I'm trying to replace the interior driver's side door handle, and I'm having trouble getting the window crank off, any advice?

There is a clip behind the handle, sometimes you can get a small screw driver or flat metal and pry it off gently, becareful because if it flies off, you may not be able to find it. It PUSHES off, out of a slot in the handle.

Driver's inside door handle broke. How do I get

found this while looking to replace speakers:

DOOR WITH POWER LOCKS AND WINDOWS First remove the triangle piece in the top corner of the panel (piece closest to the outside mirror). This can be done with a plain screwdriver and just a little
prying and it will snap off. Second, remove the door lock inset, same screwdriver, little prying and it snaps out. Next remove the cover inside the door handle, same screwdriver, pry and snaps out
(turn it upside down and slide it off. Now you will need to remove the cover that holds the window
and door lock buttons, same screwdriver and pry upwards just a little and should pop off. Ok now you
will need a small socket to take out three screws. One is inside the button panel you just took off,
the second is inside corner of the door arm, (the handle you grab to shut the door, look under it,,
see it yet, yeah thats it). The last screw in on the very bottom of the whole door panel, you will
have to get on your hands and knees to see this one (yeah thats it right there). Now would be a good
time to remove the door light on the corner, same screwdriver, pry from the red lens side outward,
once out, remove the wire termial. Ok.... now grab the under side of the panel where that last screw
was and lift upwards, apply a little more pressure till the panel pops upward about an inch. Now your
door panel is loose, you can lift it off a little but you will need to remove the wire from the tweeter.
The termial has a locking tab you need to press down to remove it.

How to replace driver door checker..can this be done without getting inside of driver door?

No sorry you have to remove the trim pad, the screws are under some caps by the inside handle and in the bottom of the grab you close the door with in the armrest, then you have to pry the clips out along the sides and bottom, slide a flat lever, plastic if you can, between the door and the trim, start at a corner and work roung. you will need a 10 mm socket to unbolt it from the door A post and there are 2 that hold it to the door itself, you should be able to wiggle it out through the speaker hole.

Where is the fuel filter on a 1997 gmc sierra w/ 5.7 l engine? Thanks

The fuel filter is located along the frame rail on the drivers side.
Look under the truck about were the drivers seat is located, and you will see it mounted in a bracket. For safety, remove negative battery terminal before replacing.
Good luck...i hope this helps, please rate me a fixya.

How to get the door panel off

There will be screws near the door handle and arm rest remove these first. Then check rest of panel for screws there should be more if you have door speakers. Remove these take speaker out slide speaker wires off the speaker clips. Move to the bottom of the door panel insert a flat edge screw driver between the panel and door. Pry gently to pop trim clips loose continue till loose across bottom then check sides. When these are all loose grab panel one both side and lift up towards window to release top edge. Do not pull the bottom edge to you or you may snap the top gove that secures the top edge. To replace follow step in reverse.

Power window won't work

there are 2 screws hidden in the handle that you grab to close the door, you have to take the cover off. there are also 3 screws under the speaker grill. there is 1 behind the handle that you use to unlock the door. the panel has pressure clips and you have to release the cable from the door lock and disconnect the speaker.

95 accord driver side door jammed

It does sound like the mechanism is detached from the handle.
The panel is fairly easy to remove. Just a screw in the handle where you pull the door closed, a screw behind the door handle itself and the rest are just snap in pieces around the permiter of the door. Just gently pull where the snap ins are located ( start at the bottom and work your way around both sides. ) The panel will then lift up over the door lock. Make sure you unplug the speaker and light and door lock plugs before pulling too hard!
