Question about 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
CHECK YOUR TRANSMISSION FLUID!!!! The dipstick should be located on the passenger side of the engine closest to the back of the engine. If the tranny is still ok then refilling it with fluid should fix the problem. Have the fluid and filter changed soon!! Worst case scenario the tranny is fried from lack of fluid and all of the nuetral plates and gears are welded together. Meaning a new tranny. And a call to your mechanic (if you have one). Check your fluids often!!! Automotive fluid loss is the reason for costly repairs most of the time.
