if i understand your question [it's not that clear] you bought a new rare air suspension shock and that one burst ... return it and they should replace it if it is indeed new ... labor is on you ... IF you just had one burst the manufacture recommends you change them between 50-75000 miles or they wear out. mine just did so i am replacing both now .. be careful driving it if you do as the computer will shut down your ABS and TRACTION control to protect it's self AND if you keep driving it that way [broken] the engine will With out warning no matter how fast your going shut it's self down for protect to under 30 mph no matter if your on the freeway or not with NO brake lights to warn other drivers ... there Maybe something in there that is poking into it as you drive have your mechanic check your rear suspension Before installing a new one ... in northern cali the cost to repair 1 is about $1000.00 [part and labor included] that's why we are doing it 1 time and replacing both of them as my right rear burst also ... hope this helps

If it was the same shock and you bought it new it should be under warranty. if it was the other side, they both should be replaced at the same time. i guess i am not clear what rubber you talk about, If it is just the boot, they are thin and rip easy. i do not how many miles are on your vehicle so i find it hard to help without knowing where you drive, how you drive, and limited information.

Hello I have Yukon Denali 2003 i had problem in my car for Rare shork which i already fix it with new bought from dealer. but i am facing while driving feel shaking car not stable drive, it has all new...

try rotating your tires from front to back, so as to eliminate the possibility of a broken belt in a tire. See if your shaking moves. Hope this helps.

I have also similar problem, but i change recently rare break pad and shocks but for the shock replace normal shock with out cable input because it is very costly in here from then onward i hear the sound...

It is possibly just a wire from a rear wheel sensor ethers not connected or broken or maybe damaged. I would start there. If the cable you are talking about is for your stability control then you need the correct part or you will continue with all the lights. Yes the correct part is more expensive, but saving a couple of dollars, should not be more important than your safety.

Service ride control

The fuse is called RTD 30 amp under the hoodfuse box. That is for the Air Compressor.

Parts.com has the best price for:

Rear Suspension:
Shock W/auto level control - 1500 series

and under
electrical:
then ride control components
then compressor

Auto ride on 2000 Yukon XL needs replacing.

Hey,

The air pump in located in the very back-left (driver's) side, underneath.
You know the shocks can "look" quit bad and still be okay.
Everything about this system is expensive (to me).
There is also a height sensor that can go bad and keep the air-pump from running.

I recommand an expert on this system.

Your GM Dealer is your best bet for parts.
Just my opinion.

Good Luck

2004 yukon xl denali self-leveling rear air shocks

There's a lever that connects the driver-side rear shock to the Automatic Level Control module (the air compressor and the ride-height sensor). Disconnect the lever from the shock and rotate it up and hold it. The compressor should kick in when you hold in place after a few seconds. If it doesn't kick in, make sure your fuses and relays are good. Otherwise, you may have a failed ALC module/burned out air compressor (from the shocks being shot). After you replace the shocks (and after you recouped from the heart attack you had when you shelled out $500+ for each shock), replace the ALC module/compressor (it's all one unit), and test it - it should kick on when you rotate the lever up again.

Figure about $350 for the ALC module from your dealer, and make sure the part numbers match! Your truck came with an upgraded ALC module from the 2001-2004 module, which were prone to water damage.

Good luck!
