Hmmm, it's normal for the ride in a 4wd to feel "different" they feel like they wallow a bit in turns and shudder a bit over bumps compared to a car, but it should not be jumping all over the road! try the old suspension test, go to each corner of the car and give it a good hard push down and let go, if the car comes back up and setles, all is good, if it doesn't go down or if it bounces up and down, the shocks/struts need replacing. Also try grabbing each of the front wheels and trying to move them left to right, then up and down, if there is any clunking or movement (without the steering wheel moving) there is a problem. left and right wobble indicates steering problems, up/down wobble indicates a wheel bearing broblem.

Check tyre pressures are not to high, on the drivers door pillar there is a plate with the pressures, mine is a later model and reccomends 23 psi front and rear, used to pump them up to 28 and bounced all over the road lol

Can you adjust a clutch on suzuki vitara 2.7

I think you will find the actuating system is hydraulic, hence not adjustable. There may however be some small adjustment on the rod which connects the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder to take the slop out of it. You would feel that kind of slop when you push the pedal down. Clutch is good for about 10 years of normal driving, so you are at 12 and it is time for a new clutch.

Who makes the diesel engine in the suzuki grand vitara

The 1.9-litre diesel engine in the latest version is sourced from Renault and delivers a hefty 221 ft lbs of torque for reassuring operation both on and off road. This power makes the Grand Vitara a far more versatile proposition, with even enough power to pull a small caravan if required.

Where is the sway bar?

sway bar runs from lower suspension arm on one side of the car to the lower suspension arm of the other side. It is only visible under the car and has several attachment points. sometimes these mounts break and you will hear a clunking noise when turning. hope this helps or get back with me - not a lot of info in your question and good luck

My 06 grand vitara is very unsettling on icy roads - whether 50 kms per hour nor 100 - doesn't seem to matter - feels like car is sliding around slightly with no rhyme nor reason to whehter left or right....

Does your model have a "lock" function for the centre differential when in 4WD? I would guess you have it in "lock" and this means that one end of the car HAS to slip to maintain the same travelled distance by each end of the car. Try driving it in "open" or "auto" maybe. The other thing that could be making things interesting is ESP if it is fitted and active. I have no experience driving on ice, but I can imagine it being similar to some of our gravel roads in Australia.

SUZUKI ESCUDO N 4H 4H LOCK 4 L LOCK

I will assume you have the same thing as in a Suzuki Grand Vitara :
N : Neutral : use this when you tow your vehicle.
4H : Use it in normal road conditions, highway, etc.
4H Lock : Use it on offroad, snow, sand, ... etc
4L Lock : Use when you are stuck on snow or sand, BE CAREFUL, this mode is only for difficult situations, do not exceed 25 MPH, and do not use it in normal conditions.
Hope this help.
