How do I remove a 4000 RDS radio

Usually once you remove the outer trim you access the bolts that hold the radio in, some Fords have 4 small holes around the outside of the radio that you have to insert release tools to unlatch the radio and remove it from it's mount.

2011 ford explorer radio n display screen blank and will not work. Only works for about 10 seconds if I take fuse out and put back in

this will require a radio removal and repair/replacement as there is an item inside that is overheating and cutting out . Contact a radio repair shop for confirmation before removing

How to replace 2002 radio light pont bonnieville and part number

I have repaired these burnt out display bulbs (3 of them) in GM Delco radio's, it is not a simple repair by any means, the radio must be removed from the car and then the radio chassis taken apart, the very tiny bulbs (size of a pencil point) are soldered to the front of the radio's main circuit board for the display, this job requires special pin point cordless low heat solder gun and a printed circuit board solder removal vacuum, The GM dealer does not service these bulbs, all they will do is remove the radio and send it out for repair to a GM radio repair center, if you do wish to attempt the replacement of the display bulbs they are a 12 volt 60ma, you will need 3 for the display, you can buy them from Radio Shack, the Radio Shack part # is #7219. You can also remove the Radio and send it in yourself for replacement of the display bulbs, this is what I recommend, if you damage the circuit board by applying to much heat the radio is so much junk.

I have a 05 accord ex with navigation. my dog

You will need to remove the radio to get the serial number from the radio. The radio most likely can be repaired alot cheaper than a new one. You can click on the link to this Company to have your radio repaired they repair all radios but you will have to have your radio removed and shipped to them so they can repair it. I have had electronics repaired by them and they do an excellent job. Give them a call and let them know what is broken so they can give you a rough estimate.

My display light is out so i cant see what radio station im on

this is a common problem on these radios. if you are good with electronics, you can remove the radio from the car and disassemble the faceplate, and solder in new LEDs if they are burnt, sometimes there are broken cold solder connections that need to be repaired. or, you can remove the radio and take it to an electronics repair shop - i have brought several in, usually costs $50 - $80 to repair. another thought - many people compare the cost of repairing to the cost of replacing with a higher quality aftermarket radio, and go that way. good luck!

The stereo and radio panel in my 2003 Vibe went blank, could this be a fuse problem?

this is a common problem. to repair, the radio must be removed. if you are handy with electronics repair, you can remove the faceplate and circuit boards and solder in new lights, other wise take the radio to an electronics repair shop, usually around $100 repair i believe.
