I have a 2003 trailblazer with 4.2 engine. Losing power when driving especially when going up hill (even small hill). Will drop down to 15 mph. got a code of p0172. Replaced O2 sensor and the...

Yes , it is more then likely the Catalytic converter is clogged ! Pull the O2 sensor before the Cat an do a back pressure test ! Testing for plugged clogged restricted exhaust converter An your P0172 means you have a rich condition , does not mean O2 sensor is bad ! Do you have 4.3 L vortex ? Could be bad fuel pressure regulator leaking ! caused your cat to have a melt down an starting to plug ! 4.3L or 5.0L vortex engines . with spider injectors ! chevy vortec p0172 p0175 So you have two problems ! Hope this helps !

P1072 bank1 fuel system too heavy

no engine option stated. displacement and cyl. count I6 , V6, I4?

are you asking all ways 1072 can happen?
all this is in the FSM. read it.
but here is the bar stool answer.
warring do not use non jeep P1 codes P1 is Jeep only !!!!!
do not let autozoned, tell you what the code means, they are clerks.
and not trained. (if they did it, you didnt say what tool pulled the code)
i can tell you transposed the 1 and 0, there is no 1072.
so its actually the very common and unversal EPA, P0172.
billions of posts on that www.
P0 means federal codes. a standard
so we look that up, , and is the error for fuel time , too rich.
so i can see you looked it up and got that right but posted wrong dtc.
no problem.
i can go further but not with no engine options stated. .......
the I4, I6 and V6 are all different beasts.

but can say (pure physics and EFI knowledge)
1: the O2 is bad, bank 1 sensor one,Front, or if v6 , bank1, sensor one the bank that is #1 cylinder , front is bad
2: engine is running way too rich for 50 reasons, (tests find it)
other sensors bad, mech, eng. issues, leaking injectors, endless....ask
3: exhaust leaks near Sensor 1.

there are the top 3.
what tech might do, is replace the 02 , on suspension.
its older than 100k miles so , bingo its listed in the service sched.
he goes to change it and see the bank header cracked, dang.
example 2, near endless story , ask.....
i run the scan tool and look at all sensor data.
see what is right and wrong.
there are some tricks too, to force lean and see if B1S1 wakes up.

What does engine code P1072 stand for on a 2008 chevrolet uplander

bank 1 is running to rich ( getting to much fuel) bank 1 is the cylinders closest to the radiator. could be a bad injector or mass air flow sensor. I wouldn't be suprized if you see a p1075 soon, this is the bank 2 is to rich. check your air filter

This is for the NOX sensor-heater control-circuit malfunction. Many sites try to interchange numbers and give you common P0172 which is for richness. But specific Brand info for Hyundai is P1072 and that is a NOX part.

Please rate my info.

Code p1072 came up..rough idle on and off. 2002 dodge caravan

There are many potential problems but first buy some spray MAF cleaner and clean the mass air flow sensor. It will set you back less than $10. Do not stick anything into the sensor. Just let the cleaner do the work.. Allow it to dry completely before installing. The link above will give you more avenues to help you diagnose the problem.
