How to stop toyota sienna car alarm from randomly going off

About 30 minutes after arriving home and locking car doors, the panic alarm goes off with honking and lights flashing. It will do this off randomly. Do you know what's causing this. If I use my key instead of the remote, will this stop it from going off again? If t Toyota does not fix this problem, I will have to purchase another auto brand. I cant have my neighbors calling the cops on me when it occurs during sleeping hours.

The problem is in the sunvisor light. You will have to take the light assembly off and you will find wires have become disconnected.

SOURCE: can not lock car by key remote . toyota rav 4 53 plate

If your car has an alarm with a separate remote, it is a separate system and it is probably self-arming. When you lock the doors with the key central lock, the alarm gets armed by the RAV4 being OFF and the door locking action. When you unlock the doors with the key, the alarm is still armed because the key is not comunicating with the alarm just the cars factory keyless system.

Horn on my sienna goes off while replacing the battery

Hook up cables and lock all doors, first try unlocking drivers door with key. If that does not workstart over and then try unlocking trunk/hatch with key. This usually will work, I highly sugest you use original key if possible.

Panic button

the alarm may be in "stolen" mode already. what you can do is that you can switch the key into ON position and open the hood, remove the negative terminal from the battery and reconnect after two minutes. this will give the alarm time to reboot and recognized that you have the key to this vehicle.
