SOURCE: gas gauge stuck under tab

I had the same problem. I carefully removed the dash panel around the dash board (it just snaps out), undid the dash board mounting screws, took out the dash board assembly, disconnected it, removed the plastic lens, and gently turned back the needle. To make sure it didn't happen again I drilled a tiny hole opposite the little post already there (next to the full side) and screwed a tiny screw into it. I then put it all back together and it has worked ever since. While I had it a part I also put a tiny screw on the temperature gauge side so it wouldn't have the same problem. Good luck.

sounds like you probably need a fuel level sender. it's located in the trunk on the right hand side attached to the fuel pump. I got one on ebay for about 20.00, but you might as well replace the fuel pump while you're at it, as it can go bad with time.

Obd2 code p1237 on honda civic diesel after engine malfunction light went off car goes into limp mode especially when engine is cold what does obd2 code p1237 mean what is the fault car runs ok then

DTC ) fault code ) - P1237:
Boost Control Positive Deviation

This fault code can be set when the fuel tank is empty or the specified fuel is not used. ( supermarket fuels etc have been known to cause this.. )

It can also be attributed to a turbo fault - if the fault is no turbo boost.

97 2.8 TD put new pump in set timing but now lack power going up hills and towing doesn't feel like the turbo is working right cleaned out the waste gate mechanism full of oil is there any thing I can do...

fit a boost gauge to the manifold to see if the turbo is actually producing boost. Fit temporarily by running the hose from the engine compartment to the cabin where you or a passenger can read the results. Turbos only produce boost under load as they need heat from the fuel to spin the turbine . If you cannot get a boost gauge then take it to a speed shop that has a chassis dyno and have it tested there . This will also test the pump for correct calibration and timing

I hit a bump and all dash went out speedometer gas rpm temp but boost gauge still works. what could that be?

Sounds like it could be a grounding issue. Check for loose wiring that is bolted directly to the frame, body, or firewall components. Is the light on your boost gauge working? Or is your gauge just reading vacuum/boost without the light?

What feeds the boost gauge? On my 87 Supra Turbo, my boost gauge isn't working properly. Is it vacuum operated? Or are it's readings supplied by the MAF or MAP?

The boost gauge is fed by the Turbo. It tells you how much extra air the turbo is putting into your engine. This is turbo ONLY. Usually a little plastic line from the turbo to the gauge.

Car alarm doesnt work after dead battery boost

The computer detected a fault. You SHOULD NOT drive it around with that blinking, or you will regret it. Take it to the dealership immediately and have them pull the code.

try checking the fuses for the swithes themselves, usually under the dash or beside the doors

Doesn't seem that the turbo is working

with the engine cold remove the turbo outlet hose and check for free rotation of the spindle. if it is ok check the wastegate capsule link arm mechanism is not seized as this is fairly common. if all is ok check the pipe work from the turbo outlet to the intercooler (lh side below airfilter headlaamp area) then from intercooler through up to inlet manifold. if all is ok, get a manual pressure gauge on the take off port at rear of inlet manifold should be a pipe blocked off with a rubber bung (lh side back of manifold) (lh side is gear box side of engine) drive car an see what the gauge reads. if it is registering boost then is often the manual boost transducer module on the right hand wheel arch by the cam belt cover that is not working so boost is there just does not register in the car.full boost is not achieved until car is at normal operating temp. if no boost turbo may need checking for wastegate operation or damage on the exhaust side. Hope this helps
