Hi

P0304 is standard OBDII for "Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected". A P0304 code means that the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #4.
Possible causes of OBD code P0304
A code P0304 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: Faulty spark plug or wire Faulty coil (pack) Faulty oxygen sensor(s) Faulty fuel injector Burned exhaust valve Faulty catalytic converter(s) Running out of fuel Poor compression Defective computer.

Possible Solutions

If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

What does the codes mean po1296 po411 po304

The first fault code do you mean p1296 if so that is a cooling system malfunction you will need to check the temperature sensor.

The fault code p0411 is a Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected

And the p0304 fault code is a misfire detected on cylinder 4 possibly a coil pack maybe a plug

How to fix diagnostic code for 1999 vw passat po304 po305 po306

Hi. You have misfires on cylinders 4, 5 and 6. If there are no faults on cylinder 1, 2 and 3 then I would check the power to the left bank injectors. Also check spark plugs and ht leads. If there are running issues then this should be an easy fix. If the faults are very intermitant then it can be a bit tricky to isolate.

I have a 1996 crown vic i need to know these touble codes po305 po304

P0304 means that cylinder 4 has a misfire and P0305 is a cylinder 5 misfire. What this means is you may have bad spark plugs, or bad plug wires, or you may need to replace your distributor cap and rotor. I would start with plugs and wires.

A P0304 OBD2 code is "cylinder #4 misfire detected". The first place to start is your spark plugs. 1. Check condition and for wear. 2. check the spark plug wires or coil packs(depending on which you have).
