Question about 2005 Hummer H2
Went to vehicle at the end of the day and noticed the window was down. It was up when I went into work. What could cause the window to go down on it's own and not go back up. I can hear the motor, but nothing happens.
Remove the door panel & you will see the problem
I would guess the window regulator assy broke

If you can hear the motor running and the window does not move than the wire in the regulator has probably broken. The rear door panel will need to be removed to access the regulator. Regulators are pretty common and should be in stock at just about any good parts store. I like the Dorman brand of aftermarket regulators and have also has good luck with the NAPA brand as well.
