93 corolla 1.8 No start Blown ignition fuse

1993 toyota corolla dx wagon does not start.
Stalled while driving, has not started since.
Ignition fuse blows.30Amp in engine bay.
Checked for shorted wires, could not find.
Disconnected alternator and starter, still blows fuse.
disconnected distributor, still blows fuse.
Checked starting switch, 0.5 ohm
checked distributor
coil 1ary resistance 1ohm, secondary, 11kohm
pickup coil,says .200 and .400(G-G+ and NE-Ne+)
checked Te1E1 diagnostic, no check engine code at all.

Is it a bad relay. Tomorrow i go to junkyard to get relay, fuse box, distributor and more 30 amp fuses( blew 10 already testing).
Will appreciate any fresh ideas. Thanks.

ps. had an aftermarket alarm; discoinnected all spliced in wires and reconnected ignition key cable that was cut to install alarm. alarm is a chapman(probaly 10 or more years old).
ps2. now the fan turns on(and of course coolant is cold, since it won't start)

Someone suggested I check the radio for a short there( thanks for the idea). I will check that.

It makes sense. i already had a similar electrical problem with another car.
I was installing a stereo and when i turned on the ignition, it would
start blinking on and off. Turned out to be that i forgot to untie some
cables I had shorted in the turn signal light( I was repairing the left
fender and the cables were tied together).

ps. forgot to mention the starter is working. turns engine. but no
spark in plugs(tested with those flashing spark cable light tester).

could not check if fuel is sent because the fuse blows.

How can i test fuel pump ( maybe disconnect and send test lead to +).

How could i test if starter has a relay that is no working right( does it have a relay inside the startert unit?)

Any more ideas are welcome(im already at the point of bANGING MY HEAD TO A WALL)

sorry for the mispost. it is a 93 corolla.

Had a problem with inj. cables too with a suzuki. Jiggling the cables solved the problem on that one(so I tied the cables so they would not move). it was an intermittent problem on that one(and i had replaced 2 spark cable sets in 2 years thinking it was sparks missing).
Thanks very much for the feedback!!!
I will be zeroing in on that part thoroughly this weekend.
ps. already checked the stereo cables and they are OK.(still I appreciated very much that input).
ps2. UPDATE been eliminating every circuit I could eliminate and today I am testin putting one by one until it blows the AM2 run circuit 30A fuse again. Will also check resistance in every circuit till it shows a WAY off resistance reading.
Will still appreciate anybody who had a similar problem who could post what was the source of the problem. Thanks in advance.

I had a prolem like this one time a while back. what i did was got the wiring diagram and checked everything that was running through that 30 amp fuse. on the one i was working on it ended up being an injector wire pinched under the valve cover and it didnt short out till the car was driven til it warmed up and expanded after the valve cover gasket was changed. hope this helps!

Has it had a aftermarket radio installed in it?just a hunch ive seen times where the wiring on the radio may become bare and ground out to blow that fuse worth checking plus all that is involved is labor.

I have 93 toyota corolla 1.6 get spark, fuel pressure but no start

if your getting spark the problem isn't distrib try squrting a little fuel in air inlet if it starts it's most likely an injector problem check the injector impulse.
check crank sensor or cam sensor
good luck

My 93 corolla stalls while driving, i can kill the

You may have a bad pick up coil in the distributor or a bad distributor. What also to look at is the throttle position sensor. That may have a dead spot it.

No start, blown ignition fuse 30 amp.

If it is the AM2 (30A) fuse that is blowing, check the ignition condenser, capacitor, within the ignition assembly. I just removed it and assembled the ignition back together. I am in the process of ordering a new one from Rock Auto for a total of $2.57. It seems to be a common issue. The condenser is actually a capacitor and the issue is that they internally short.

1993 toyota corrola stalls.

I thing that the main problem turned out to be a bad ignition coil. On '93 Corollas, you can remove the ignition coil without removing the distributor. (You only need to remove the distributor cap and rotor.) you mention that u already replace couple of parts but i suggest to get the original part from Toyota spare part
