Running, pressure should be about 31psi....running with regulator vacuum line detached should be around 39psi A large difference indicates a problem, a small variance (one or two psi) may just be an inaccuracy in your gauge. No change when disconnecting vacuum indicates a bad regulator.
first check the switches on driver's door and passenger door , most often this is the cause. switch them around to check or use jumper wires in the connectors. motor is inside the door low towards the front. motor is bolted to window regulator assembly.
1. take off door panel and plastic liner
2. remove 3 or 4 bolts retaining assembly with window up, but mark exact location as this affects alignment
3. pivot assembly to remove rollers from track on glass
4. remove assembly through largest opening on inner door frame
5. un bolt motor from regulator
6. Install in reverse order
I am willing to elaborate on any and all of these points untill you are done, just reply to this feed for more info
Most door glass slides in from the top **** in the door. Sometimes the window seal around the window frame may have to come out and can be re-installed after you secure the glass to the track. You may have to insert the glass at an odd angle to fit it thru. Be sure to have the door panel off so you can access the track screws(bolts) and make sure you do or don't have to bond it with adhisive. A great bonding agent for this is gorilla glue, tested and still working on my friends 93grand cherokee. Good luck.
Hello. Call around to all of your local auto parts stores and ask if they can get it and what the cost is. If they say that can't get it for you ask them where you can get one. These parts stores are all very helpful these days because they are all hurting for business. Regards, Joe
Not that difficult of a task, it would be wise to get a service manual with step by step instructions and pictures. Factory ones are here for $20 bucks http://www.promanuals.net/dodgejeep.html
