If you have an aftermarket radio power that off and then try. Also could be a bad computer in the car. Need a little for info to properly diagnose

SOURCE: my 2002 subaru wrx obd2 link wont connect to scanner , is there a fuse i dont see on listed

It is most often the same fuse as the cigar lighter or power points. Use a 12 volt test light and check the terminal listed in the diagram below for power.

Is there any suggestion, my friend want to buy a obd2 diagnostic scanner, what should he pay attention to ?

Make sure it's a good one, does'nt have to be top of the line. Just make sure it is upgradeable and that you can purchase other attachments if needed, do your research.

Engine light came on wont go off dash board. 2003 saturn ion

you need obd2 scanner to do this or obd interface for PC. on some cars you can try to remove negative battery cable for 15 minutes. if you have radio code you need to save it before removing cable.

P0700

P0700 means that the TCM (transmission control module) has detected a fault in the electronic control system of the transmission and has requested the PCM (powertrain control module) to turn on the check engine light to alert u to the fact that the transmission has malfunctioned, u must now get the the TCM tested to see what particular fault code(s) u have, these codes can't be read with a generic ODB2 scanner or code reader, u need a dealer to test the TCM, the OBD2 code reader can't do that.

Trying to read check engine light on my 95 sunfire it has a obd2 plug but the obd2 tester wont read my codes how can i test this with out going to dealer?

Most consumer available scanners read OBDII on 96 or newer vehicles. If your car does in fact have a OBDII plug then all you need is the software in your scanner to be able to read OBDI codes...a 95 is running OBDI. Advance Auto or Autozone might have a OBDI compliant scanner for free...just tell them you have the OBDII port so they don't take up all your time digging for the adapter!
