Check the maf sensor and change spark plugs if you know it needs them. Possible coolant temp sensor as well. Do you have any engine codes on?

Then you have a intermittent spark . Now do you have a spark tester to test spark. Its okay if you dont we have one . Oh by the way you did the fuel pump yourself. if you can do a fuel pump then you can do this to solve the no start problem. No spark tester? okay we will use that tachometer (RPM gauge). crank the engine does the tach meter reads zero at all times while cranking, if it does youll need a crank sensor. Here the story Rough running conditions and or stalling was caused by a faulty crank sensor, try shaking the connector or wiggle the crank connector then see if it starts. Youll need to inspect the connection for proper male to female connection these have been the most suspectable failure of KIA. If you decide to replace this sensor make sure connections are good, more than likely this was the problem and not the fuel pump

Does your vehicle "hop" forward a bit when you are driving or coming to a stop. I had a similar complaint about my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix and for me it was a mass air flow sensor replacement needed. The other thing it could certainly be is a clogged catylitic (sp?) converter. That will cause the symptoms your vehicle is having too. Good Luck. Hope this was helpful to you. Have a great day!

ok lets start with the codes they say your getting. P??? which 1's and how many. there are few o2 sensors, are they next to the Exhaust next to the converter? MASS AIR FLOW -MAF use this, for now i am guessing, until i see the correct codes your are getting. this could be the 1 you may have below, please read it........
  • P0103
Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit High Input
  • Possible causes
  • Faulty mass air flow sensor
    - Intake air leaks
    - Dirty mass air flow sensor
    - Dirty mass air filter
    - Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted
    - Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection
  • Before replacing the mass air flow sensor, try replacing the air filter and cleaning the air flow sensor with low compress air or mass air flow sensor cleaner. Reset code and drive vehicle. If the code comes back, it may be necessary to replaced the mass air flow sensor.
  • possible symptoms Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
    - Engine stall
    - Engine running rough
    - Excessive fuel consumption
    - Excessive smoke
  • the code is generated when An excessively high voltage from the sensor is sent to Engine Control Module (ECM).

Clean the primary filter with gasoline and compressed air, which is fitted under the fuel pump in the fuel tank.
For this to do, probably you have to remove the fuel tank from the car.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PERFORM THE CLEANING PROCESS NEAR OPEN FLAME, FIRE, HEATER OR A CLOSED ROOM. CARRY OUT THE OPERATION IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. KEEP THE CHILDREN AND PETS AWAY.

After cleaning, perform the fuel pump pressure test. The regulated pressure should be between 38 - 44 psi. If it shows lower reading, replace the fuel pump and if it shows higher reading replace the regulating valve. Also check the NRV (Non Return Valve) for blockade which is located and installed on chassis above the fuel tank by means of rubber hose.

2003 kia sorento keeps slowing down to a stop but doesnt cut off.I have to wait before I press on gas again.

I can't see the T/Belt giveing that problem however if the T/Belt is due it should be done ASAP because if the belt breaks it can cause pistons to hit valves (Very expensive to fix) but could be the catalytic converter or a number of other things. My thought would be to undo the o2 sensor in the exhaust & run car this will allow exhaust to escape without going through the catalyst. If car stops slowing to a stop you know that the catalyst is blocked. Or remove the catalitic converter & look through it it should look like honey comb you can see through. P.S your car posibly won't go without the o2 sensor in.

i think the catalytic converter is clogged up, meineke , midas or somewhere of that sort will test it for free where i live, call ahead and check where you live , it only takes them a short time to do this test, and it sounds like you've spent plenty, its a free test, and can very well cause the problem you say you have GOOD LUCK!!!!!

1996 grand cherokee starts fine and runs great the first 5 minutes. Then it runs like ****..doesn't completely stall but runs really rough. Like it wants to stall but doesn't. Replaced the fuel pump and...

First thing is; When you changed the fuel pump, did you compare the 2 to see if they were identicle?, because it's possible that you could have the wrong fuel pump.. Second; you should have changed the fuel filter when you changed the pump, if not? you need to put a new fuel filter on... Third... It is possible for the upper o2 sensor, because on your Jeep, you have an OBD II system, which is, ( On Board Diagnostics II) and that system uses two "o2" sensors; One before the catalytic converter and one after the converter. The Primary o2 sensor is the one before the converter; The secondary o2 sensor, or catalyst monitor, is located after the catalytic converter.
The two o2 sensors work on an "open loop and closed loop". When the motor is cold, the o2 sensors are in open loop, which means they are not being used to monitor the exhaust gas, and when the motor warms up- after 5 minutes or so, then the computer switches to "Closed loop" and the o2 sensors are then used to monitor the exhaust gasses, so it is possible that your primary o2 sensor, or the one before the catalytic converter is bad.... But! It's very rare for both o2 sensors to go out at the same time.... I hope that answers your question & gives you an idea of how the o2 sensors work in conjunction with the fuel injection system.

Check the exhaust compression. Remove the O2 sensors before the cataylic converts and see if it improves. If it does that means your cats are cloged and need to be replaced.
