There are several styles of connections and another Expert may be able to identify what you have. The type with the bolts on them are more easy to switch. The type with the O ring need a A/C tool.

Some major autoparts stores have Tool loaner programs and may be able to lend you what you need.

This is not like changing a heater hose. You need to use an evacuator pump to make the system ready for a refill. The system also needs the right type of compressor oil to function.

Some shops will test the system for leaks after making a repair to insure it really is fixed.

Be proper and careful if you buy the manifold hose because some are different lengths.

When you have an extremely high idle and code p2008 shows up what could the problem be

Without knowing what car you have it gets difficult to be specific, however since usually p2008 is dealing with intake manifold runner control, and you have a high idle...Id say you may possibly have a loose or broken vacuum hose to runner control...with the vacuum off the runners cant be regulated...and the air leaking in through the bad/open hose will raise idle. check vacuum hoses and runner linikage

Does the 240 have a pcv valve if so where is it located

No, it does not have a PCV valve. It has a flame arrestor between the #3 and #4 legs of the intake manifold. It is quite difficult to get it out and clean it and put it back in without breaking the plastic housing.
It has a large hose going to the top of it, a small vacuum hose going to the back of the throttle body on the intake manifold, and a large hose going down to the oil mist separator on the side of the engine.

I have a 325i 2003. The power steering reservoir is leaking ever so little, However there is an odor coming from the engine when the engine is hot. The reservior is maintaining it's fluid according to the...

The power steering fluid leak is most likely a hose. BMWs are notorious for power steering hose leaks. On this car, replacing the power steering hose is not too hard once you get the air filter box and a few other things out of the way.
The smell is most likely the valve cover gasket leaking onto the exhaust manifold. This is another very common problem on BMWs, and is another problem that is not difficult to correct. Once you take off the cabin air filter tray, the valve cover is easy to access.

Where do i locate the thermastat. can you send me a picture

The thermostat on almost any vehicle is located under the intake manifold fitting of the the top radiator hose. It is not difficult to change. 2 to 3 bolts in most cases. The key is to clean the mating surfaces well with a knife blade before reinstalling the upper hose fitting on the manifold.

Here is a FixYa post by expert c17hydro with the details and picture:

The small elbow shaped hose coming out of the manifold and into the belt tensioner is leaking coolant. What is this part and how easy to replace?

This is a 3100, or a 3400 V6 engine? It should be one of the water hoses that connects the tube on the front to the water pump, it is a preformed hose availiable from many parts stores and is not difficult to replace, if you drain a little coolant out before you take it off you will lose less coolant in replacement, be sure to refill coolant after your done. Hope this helps, let me know

How difficult is it to change the PCV valve. 2004

PCV is an acronym for positive crankcase ventilation.
The PCV Valve is a very common replacement item on many engines today. It's called the PCV valve for short but it stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation. When your engine spins it many times collects pressure in the crankcase area, and it has to escape to relieve pressure on the motors bearings and seals. The PCV valve and PCV system is typically located near the intake manifold, and many times comes right off of the valve cover. It is very simple to replace the PCV valve, and you can do so by simply unscrewing it, and screwing in the new valve. We recommend using a little bit of teflon tape or paste to make sure you do not get any oil leaks.
Example (see picture below): 2,4 ltr. Audi V6 engine (BDV, AMM)

How hard is it to change out teh rear bank of spark plugs on a Murano?

will need to remove intake manifold, remove the covers, intake tube, there are 2 bolts on a braket behind the throttle body and another bolt towards the middle holding the power steer hose, there is a hose from the back of the manifold to the booster and another near it to the rear rocker cover, then unbolt the manifold pust it to one side, then you can access the coil packs and the4 spark plugs, not too difficult

Locate the radiator, you will see a hose leaading into the engine. Trace this hose to shere it enters the engine. There should be two bolts, loosen these pull the hose up and you will se the thermostat. Befoe replacing it. Place it in some boling watwer, if it opens, the theromstat is not defective.

Changing spark plugs 2003 Impala 3.4 eng. i.e. removing and reinstalling upper intake manifold

I have a 2003 chevy Impala and it's not so difficult. Try using a small ratchet that fits in the palm of your hand, I can't remember what it is called. To install the plugs use an extension and put a couple of the card board pieces from one of the spark plug boxes in between the new spark plug and the spark plug puller socket, this will hold the new plug in place while you work with the extension. When screwing in the plug you will have to go by feel so move the extension back and forth like a light jiggle while turning to avoid cross threading the plug. After the plug is tightened attach the ratchet and slightly torque into place.
