Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

Goodluck!

How to drian water from a discovery 2 fog light

There are some breathers on the back of the fog light, but if you have water in there you'll need to replace it really, or drill a small drain hole in the bottom. Release it from the valance and unplug the wiring, pop the bulb out and let it drain.

DASH LIGHTS DIM WHEN BRAKE OR LEFT BLINKER APPLIED

Pull the bulb out of both left side turn signals and check the filaments. As these are double filament bulbs, sometimes the filaments break and lay across the other creating a feedback issue.

Dash light and tail lights not working

The dash and tail lights are controled by the first "click" of the headlight switch found on the turn signal arm.

If the fuses are good, then your turn signal arm has failed.

First click is running lights (dash and outside marker lights), second is headlights.

The 1st position of the 2 position switch has contacts internally that have worn and no longer complete the circuit.

Replace the turn signal arm.
