First check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder, then if it is low check the brakes for wear.

SOURCE: 2003 mazda protege 5 transmission problem

It sounds as if you may have a short in the wire harness, or a bad plug on one of the sensors. This is common. Make sure the sensor connections are clean then use die-electric grease on them where they make contact.

SOURCE: the transmission wont shift out of 2nd gear again.

i can answer part of your question. the front wheel speed sensors are for abs and trac control only. these will not affect the speedo your problem is some where else. sorry i have not had this prob yet good luck. you could have to replace the rear wheel speed sensor again. they are not that good. and after market are even worse.

SOURCE: I need to replace the transmission speed sensor

usually they are at the back of the tranny with a 2 wire plugin and one bolt holding it in...if not it may be part of your rear ABS sensor in your rear you have any codes about ABS

SOURCE: ABS light & brake light on, problems with speedo working properly

The rear wheel speed sensor is the most common problem on those trucks and will do what you are talking about. It is located at the top of the rear axle in the center. It picks up it's signal from a tone ring on the diff inside! If a tranny input or output sensor is bad then the tranny won't shift properly!

2007 vw rabbit abs light blinks on a steep grade

abs sensor blinking is usually cause by a bad wheel speed sensor or vehicle speed sensor. not too sure what going up hill is doing. sometimes that can move brake fluid around if its low and will detect low brake fluid, but you brake like would also come on with the abs sensor. check and fill brake fluid to fix that. to fix a sensor you need to bring the sensor readings up on a vw scan tool to see which one is cutting out. should take to vw shop for scan tool. they might charge you .5-1 hour diag time but its better then the hassel and expense of parts replacing. finally if they find nothing wrong with the speed sensors going up hill, then its probably the abs unit. check those in that order and you'll find it.

My chevrolet equinox 2005 abs ligh is on. after scanning the solution was to replace the speed sensor. Also brakepads has been replaced . the computer has been resetted. but afterwards the pedal keeps...

Theres a problem with a speed sensor at the wheels, there are four abs sensors one on each wheel and they read the wheel speed of each wheel, what is happening is that when you step on the brake the computer is reading the speeds of each wheel and sees one wheel is moving slower than the other and thinks that whell is skidding so intern its release the braks very very fast and thats the vibration you are feeling but the wheel is not skiding theres a problem with a sensor thats giving a flase reading, a scan tool will be needed to be conected to the compuetr and truck driven to see which sensor is bad or acting up, hope this is helpful. some times it can be dangerous if it keeps releasing the brakes while you are trying to stop.have this checked out.

On my 2000 Gmc pickup the ABS light and the Brake lights on the dash stay on. how do i fix it

More than likely one of the wheel speed sensors has gone bad or the connection to it has loosened. A high tech scan tool is needed to troubleshoot this problem. Have you had any brake work done recently or driven through heavy snow? That may have loosened a connection at one of the wheel sensors.

When coming to stop, transmission doesn't shiftt down to 1st as it should, there is a little jerd and it feels almost as if the brake is on. when accelerator is pushed down from stopped position it is...

This is normally caused by a faulty speed sensor in the transmission not allowing the computer on broad to know the proper mph the vehicle is travling for the right shift points.Try replacing the main speed sensor on the transmission located near the rear of the tailshaft and let me know from there.hope this helps,
