How to adjust the head light in lancer 2005

There are usually some adjustment/aligning bolts on the back of the headlight. You will have to park your car perpendicularly to a wall about 25 feet away from the car. Then you will adjust and align the bolts on the back. You will have to open the hood as the alignment bolts are on the back of the headlight which is accessible from the engine compartment side. There are usually 3 alignment bolts per headlight. You may have to chalk up a pattern on the wall when you do this. How do i adjust headlight on scoda octavia

I would try taking the headlight out and try refitting it again the headlights should not go out of alignment just because you change a bulb,(check the plastic nut at back of the headlight near the top) however the if you need to adjust it the adjusters are on the plate that the headlight sits on you will need a torque bit to loosen off the screws to adjust them

How do I get the headlight cover off to replace the bulb?

there should be two ten mm bolts to remove then look to see if there is a metal pin/rod that aligns the headlight assembly on outer side you might have to wiggle it and pull straight out they get stuck often when re-installing make sure metal pin/rod aligns with hole to keep headlamp adjusted if not installed correctly headlamps wont be aligned.

What is are the correct headlight alignment specs for a 2001?

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Changed passenger side headlight bulb, now unable to adjust or align head lights

Changing the bulb should not have affected the housing adjustments.

The bulb is just inserted into the headlight housing. The adjustments on the headlight housing is what adjusts the alignment of the headlights.

Did you maybe not get the bulb not seated correctly in the socket? Or didn't get the socket not seated correctly into the housing?
