I am sure you know that you'll need to replaced the turn signal switch to repair this. Have this confirmed by a shop. Special tools are required to replace the switch and the airbag system must be disarmed.

Where is the brake relay on a 2001 gmc sierra.

Try wiggling the hazard light switch while pressing on the brakes. The taillights are connected to the turn signal switch before it goes to the brake switch. The contacts on the hazard switch are probably dirty(I remember this problem years ago, same symptoms-3rd light works but l/R tailights not working). You may just be able to turn the hazards on+off a bunch of times to clean the contacts instead of replacing the switch.

My 1991 toyota pickup signals arent working but the hazards work. The signals will work but then they will die. What is the problem?

Your problem lies within your steering column. The blinker switch inside the colums is probably worn out. You have an older vehicle. How many times a day while driving do you think that you use your blinker switch just to go to the store and back? Quite a few huh. Its not hard to replace. Refer to your owners manual for instructions.

I have a 1991 isuzu space cab pickup and the passenderside blinkers dont work all for flashers work and drivers side does but when i click to the left it just makes a tick tick tick really fast but no...

I think this is common in these trucks, I usually whack/wiggle my hazards switch (on the top of the steering column), and it fixes my blinkers. More than likely there is a short between the hazards and the blinkers. Hope that helps.

2000 ford windstar, directionals both not working, hazards work f

turn signal flasher module or turn signal switch. I usuall try to wiggle teh column switch or move it slowly up and down, back and forth to help determine if it has a bad contact. if i cant get a failure (or turn signal) that way I begin the testing at the base of the column. the flasher module is a common failure on those and isnt unreasonably priced. if i had no diagnostic procedure i would try that first. oh yea, try turning the hazards on and off rapidly several times. the signal goes through the four way switch.
