My 93 Cutlass will not shift out of overdrive. Runs great until it gets to overdrive and it seems to drop the RPMs lower than they need to be. Once it needs to shift down to climb a hill or slope it makes the car shake bad as it is trying to get out of overdrive, almost like it is stuttering between a lower gear and overdrive. To make it stop you either have to put the gas pedal all the way to the floor or just left off completely. Its has an automatic transmission with a little over 240,000 miles on it. Want to do everything possible to fix it before I go ahead and rebuild the transmission.
With that milage go with the rebuild dont waste time and money faffing around
