Have a 2005 Toyota Sienna. Replaced VVT solenoid last weekend Tonight I get P0018, P0022 and P0442 codes all together.

P0018 OBD-II Trouble Code: Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2 Sensor A) P0442 TOYOTA - EVAP System Small Leak Detected P0022 - "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)

So to answer your question no not all three, it would however triggerr the EVAP code p0442 , the other codes could have been original stored and just came out latter so cnacell all codes and see if any return.

My 2004 mazda 6 (wagon) is shakingand lunging forward. it was lunging while in drive and shakes like it will cut off, previous codes before this: P0022/P0345/P0431

P0022 A Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)
P0345 Camshaft Position Sensor circuit malfunction
P0431 Warm-up Catalyst system below efficiency

A bad camshaft sensor or wiring to the the sensor would cause the other two codes. Since P0345 refers to a circuit issue, get the wiring diagram and check the circuit before assuming you have a bad sensor. If the circuit checks out, then consider replacing the sensor. After that, clear the codes and drive to see if they come back.

How do i fix p0012 p0022 codes if timing is 100% in time can unplug one vct sealnod and truck runs good plug both up multiple cly misfire with lose of vacumm

P0012 Bank 1 Timing Over Retarded

P0022 Bank 2 Timing Over Retarded

There the codes

Look at scan tool data

I would say the actuators were not lined up

correctly when the motor was built, or the chain

timing took place

Watch the You Tube Video on replacing the actuators

Ford f150 2007 engine code P0012 and P0022

They are camshaft codes. You can try replacing the camshaft sensor. Or you can take it to a service shop and let a pro take care of it for you.

2006 Ford Expedition, replaced camshaft sensor two months ago after getting P0022 Intake Camshaft Position Timing-Over-Retarded (Bank 2). Now having simular problems, engine light on, checked code, same...

the sensor is reporting the cam position is wrong
It is not faulty
what is faulty is the solenoid or the actuator that controls the cam timing
Take it to an accredited professional service center that has experience on your make and have it fixed properly

2007 Ford F-250, 5.4 Engine-Missing, running very rough at idle-very low idle. Engine codes P0011, P0022, P0171, P0300, P0305, P0307, P0316, P2198.

Hello, There is an extended Warranty for "Cam Phasers". I want to say 7 Years and 90,000 Miles. But some of the repairs are on a case by case basis. Years 2004-2008 were affected.

I will tell you what your Codes mean.p0011 and p0022 are both for the Camshaft position sensors. One side is overadvanced and the other is retarded. Code p 0171 is an O2 sensor, Code 0300 is random misfiring, Codes p0305 and 0307 are the #5 and #7 cylinder misfires. Code p0316 is a general misfire when starting up, and finally the p2198 is a rich condition O2 sensor on bank2 sensor 1.

All of these make sense when the Cam on bank 1 is over advanced you will run lean and the Cam on bank 2 is retarded, you will run rich. The misfires are from incorrect timing and affected fuel mix.

There are "cheater tools" for this repair which will cut Labor costs in half. Check the Web for Mac tools, Snap-on, and so forth. The cheater works by pressing down on the internal chain tensioner to make slack in the timing chain. You take off the valve covers and unbolt the Cam (Phaser) gear and sneak it out through the valve cover opening. The CAM PHASERS cost $300 to $500 apiece.

A normal repair without the cheater involves removing the front of the motor up to the heads and still requires removing the valve covers.

I hope my solution is very helpful to you, at least you know why you are getting the Codes you are reading.

Keep getting code p0018 and p0022. plus car is rough on idle. is it expensive to fix.

Hi, a P0018 definition is Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2 Sensor A). A P0022 definition is "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2).

More info on the P0022 code @ http://www.obd-codes.com/p0022

As for the cost to fix, I'm not sure off-hand. A qualified technician should be able to diagnose that likely within 1-2 hours of shop time.

P0022 car shakes when idleing

P0022 - Intake position timing over retarded bank # 1

Could be timing chain on your 3.0L v-6 could have jump timing or you just have a bad cam sensor.
