99 grand am no heat, but it's not overheating

How about the heater core hoses - are they hot when engine is warm? If they are, the problem is probably the air mix door actuator in the HVAC box. If they aren't, the water pump is not doing it's job or you have a plugged line.

The thermostat in your car is behind the waterpump. Take off the belt and waterpump and it should slide right out.

Overheating changed thermostat done bleeding new coolant new hoses still overheats waterpump is good no blockage

if you've flushed the system, and made all those changes, ( be sure the thermostat is placed spring towards the motor) you may have a head gasket or warped head issue

I busted my heater hoses fitting, the one behind the waterpump, and i cant get to it. I've taken the waterpump off. what else do I need to remove to get to it or where can I find a diagram

One heater hose runs to the top of the water pump the other one runs to the thermostat housing so I don't understand. If you took the water pump off you should have a tube like stem coming out of the top of the water pump, the heater hose connects to that.

Where do i find the waterpump and thermostat? and

The water pump can be located by following your bottom radiator hose to the engine... it connects to the pump.
The thermostat is done the same way by the top radiator hose. The hose attaches to the small housing for the thermostat (usually on top of the engine).
I hope this helps you. Good luck!

2000 5.2 changed top radiater hose. can not get water flow. how do I get water flow?

was it flowing before you changed hose, if so it sounds like the thermostat is faulty not opening up to let the water circulate. also check and make sure waterpump is working.

How to replace hose coming off top of waterpump on a 1996 jeep v8

there should be clamps on both ends of the hose. just take off the clamps and twist the hose off and replace it. make sure car is cooled down, coolant can be very hot. like most cars, it might be very hard to get at the clamps , so be patient. good luck
