How to play headphones only

Plugging in headphones should open a switch in the jack that turns off other speakers. High end equipment may have a menu to prevent this, or you may have a bad output jack.

I have a 2002 Chrysler Town & country and I can't get the sound to work for the Vcr/player Without headphones. How do I get the sound without the headphones?

I had one of these and it turned out to be the headphone jack, when you put the headphone plug into the jack it disables the speaker and when you unplug the headphones it enables the speaker. There's a contact in the jack and it is probably stuck to headphones. The jack may need to be replaced. Try and wiggle the plug a few times but not hard as it may break from the curcuit board.

Can/how do I get sound to play in factory dvd player (2002 Envoy) without using headphones?

If you have an active headphone jack, just plug in some PC speakers. I don't know how best to mount them or what kind of volume you'd get out of them but that would be quick, cheap, and easy.

Radio in 2012 Chevrolet captiva states that the device is not supported It will play the cut out with this message Any ideas on how to fix this or what the issue may be

If you are trying to play music through a USB cable located in the arm rest the type of phone depends on if it will play or not. Some android phones will not ply through the usb cable, or you may have to download an app to assist you. Also you can buy an aux cable to go from the headphone jack to the headphone jack on the bottom right of the stereo.

Headphone for DVD on 2006 Chrysler Town and Country

Just found this and it worked! Hope it does for you as well:
There should be a button on the DVD remote control with a headphone symbol on it. Make sure the headphones are turned on(red indicator on earpiece) and push the headphone button on remote. The headphones will only work in the back seats of the vehicle. Once you have audio to the headphones, you should be able to hit the AM/FM button on the radio and listen to the radio while back passengers use the headphones for video.

2005 dodge caravan, factory dvd... no sound through speakers

My grandcarvan sxt came with a remote for the DVD system and wireless headphones from KOSS. You have to press the headphone button on the remote to change it to headphones otherwise it comes through the main system. With the button pressed we can listen to cd or radio in front while they wear the headphones in back. You might need the remote to change it back to main system. The headphones from Koss are lifetime guaranty and not too expensive.

Honda Odyssey DVD player sound without the headphones

You can set the sound to play through the car's speakers. If you don't want it too loud in front, you can use the audio setting for the fader to just play in the rear.

How do you work the sound on the DVD player?

I have a 2005 with DVD - but do not have the wireless headphones. I use the AUX button on the front radio to switch between FM/AM/and the DVD Player. I do have headphones jacks in the roof console by the DVD player, but have never used them.
