Have you checked that the pressure is within range?(usually 30 to 50 psi low side); maybe you overfilled it or it is underfilled. i guess you checked that but from your description i cannot assume that.
overfilling will make the compressor stop working, also underfilling.
Maybe a leak somewhere; pressure would go to 0.

Most common solution for your problem is lack of refrigerant. If you're comfortable doing this yourself, you should get a R-134A refill kit that includes a hose, lubricating oil and 1 or 2 cans of R-134A. You should also look to see if they have a hose with a pressure gauge on it so you don't overfill the system. Below is a link to a page with instructions to add refrigerant to most AC systems. Best of luck.

Yes it is possible that you are low on refrigerant. The AC cluch won't engage if it is low and will only engage if it is has a good charge. You can do this yourself by buying the R134a and connecting it to the low pressure fitting. Follow the directions on the can. You could have a leak and it may not last long.

    Hello,

I would go ahead and refill it and see if you can locate the leak it may stay charged all summer I had that problem with one of my cars and I would just recharge it every summer. I would add the oil as well which the kit you bought probably has.

At this point it could be one of the lines, fittings, or the condenser.

    Thanks

I have no start and no ground to injectors. 99 tahoe 5.7

The PCM controls the ground to the injectors. Does the check engine light come on for a bulb check when the key is turned on? Check ECM fuses in underhood fuse/relay center. There is usually 2 10 amp fuses protecting the PCM circuitry.

Where's the fuse for the head lights on a 99 Chevy taho

On the 1999 model, you have a relay for high and low beam circuits, and those relays send power thru a fuse for each side. The relays and fuses are in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
Check your owners manual for details.

Chevy Tahoe Intermittent No Crank

I will try to help, powell. Your start circuit from battery to ignition switch to starter-and back to battery. You may need to check every thing here, including the grounds, for a loose connection, or just possibly a failing part.
If only complaint is intermittent starter action, and no other problems with ignition switch, let's assume switch is good, so battery to ignition switch is good. Now from the switch, a yellow start wire goes to the instrument panel fuse block, to "crank" fuse #8 (10 amp), from there a purple wire goes to the safety switch. If manual it is a clutch pedal position switch (simple on/off switch-when clutch down switch is on). If automatic, purple wire goes to Transmission Range Switch on the transm.-in park or neutral the purple wire has continuity in and out of switch.
From that switch, the purple wire goes to the starter relay (under hood fuse-relay center). Now the relay: purple wire in start will energize the relay- wire goes to coil side of relay, and then coil side goes to ground. On relay power side, the power feed is a red wire-and it is the same red wire that initially sends power to the ignition switch. A 40 amp fuse in fuse-relay center sends power to ignition switch, and a splice goes to the starter relay as the power feed for relay. When relay is energized, contacts close, and power is sent from relay to the starter solenoid, again on a purple wire. When solenoid contacts close, starter motor is connected to the big battery cable on the starter.

There is your start circuit. try a new or different relay, try a new or test the clutch switch (or transm. range switch). Buy a $5 test light and use it to check where power is lost when starter won't operate. Hold key in start and check if fuse #8 is getting power. Check the safety switch, with key held in start, the purple wire should be hot. Check if relay has a power feed (pull relay out and check terminals) and if relay coil has a power signal in start. Check the relay's coil side ground. If that ground is intermittent, relay won't work.
When it won't start, use a test light, you should be able to find it.
Good luck.

Where is the brake relay on a 2000 tahoe

No relay in the wiring diagram. There is a 20amp hazard fuse and a 10amp vehicle stop fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
If those fuses are good, and the brake light switch checks out ok, I would look at the turn signal switch next.

Have you checked to see if the bulbs burned out? Also check the fuses/relay for your blinkers. The owner's manual for vehicle will let you know where the fuse and relay boxes are.Make sure all wire connections are connected properly and that the turn signal switch is in good working condition.GOOD LUCK!

I have a 99 tahoe and the lights come on but the brake lights wont come on at all the relay is missing but when i put a relay in there it still wont come on the lights are good but no brake lights

Check the brake light switch down on the brake pedal lever, it might just be out of adjustment. You can also check to see if it is the switch by dis-connecting the brake light switch and using a paper clip to connect or jumper the two wires together that are in the wire connector to the brake lights. If the brake lights come on when the connector is jumpered then the problem is with the brake light switch.
