I have a 2001 hyundai sonata with 140000 miles and the parking brake remains on at all times

If it's just the light that stays on, often that's a sign that your brake fluid is low.

Hyundai sonata will noy shift out of park

Can you shift out of park if you don't start the engine ?
Often times the brake light switch is faulty or the solenoid that locks the shifter. Sometimes the shifter can be moved if the key lock is turned but not to the on position.

My 2005 Hyundai Sonata just developed a problem with my brake lights staying on continously when I turn my lights on. And when my lights are off and I push the brakes my parking lights come on. I can't...

2005 hyundai sonata replaced all calipers and rotors and pads and customer came back same day with complaint of car slowing down without applying brakes, when test drove found all brakes to get hot and also to be locked up until cooled off.and when i cracked open a bleeder the brakes released and no fluid came out, i dont understand why!!!

Parking Lights Remain On on 2004 Sonata when Car Off

dear friend-your brake lights does not work threw the ignition,so you will have to look at the brake light switch,it might be stuck.

hyundai bumper to bumper warranty is 5yrs 60k miles with 100k powertrain for original owner. unless you have an extended warranty it is not covered. there is actually a tsb for adjustment on the brake lamp switch
