Fuel pump probably went bad, they keep there cool from being in the gas and when you run low can pick/up dirt water etc. I have seen lots of cars run out and ruin the pump. But you could try a fuel filter and get checked by a much before buying a new one.http://www.xcardiag.com/search/?q=Fuel+pumphope it can help you.

I ran out of gas in my car, so I put $5 gas in the car and it didn't start, so I added another $5 gas in in again and it still won't start, we tried boosting it and it won't start so i don't know what is...

Dont touch the gas pedal or it might flood and not start. Have someone spray a little starting fluid in the Air filter tube while you try to start it.

1999 Saab 9.3 ran out of gas after putting gas car will not start

Check your fuel pump fuse and make sure it isn't blown. The pump needs gasoline to stay lubricated....the pump may have died when you ran out of gas. Can you hear the pump come on when you turn the car on?

My mercury mystique ran out of gas I put gas in it but wont start

Turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump to prime, you ran out of gas, if it was weak to begin with that may have finished it.

Ran out of gas......

Sounds like fuel pump burned out when you ran out of gas. probably ran dry for about 20 sec till engine quit. Check for power to fuel pump in tank. Most likely fuel pump will need replacement . Hope this helps

2001 L200 ran out of gas

You will need about 2 gallons of gas to get the car started. Also have the front of the car lower than the rear. I have had the problem with mine. If I am low on gas, I get the car on a downhill slope, and it starts right up and I get straightaway to the gas station.
