1998 Honda Accord won't start. Hear electrical clicking sound coming from behind the glove box area. What could be causing this?

-There are couple thing that cause not to start:
*Before check the following, make sure battery is full of charge.
1. No thing at all. Possible Corrosion battery cable or bad connector or starter relay. (Visual Inspect it) Clean it or tight it
2.Click but never turn or start. Starter has dirty contact or worn out. (Replace W/new one)

There could be many things that can cause this. Could be the bulb sockets or fuse box.Hondas typically have a light module located behind the glove box . As well could be as simple as a ground cable or bad alarm or command start if applicable to your vehichle.

read the manual, RTM
read the operators guide in the glove box, its clear , it tells you WHY.
lost? (posted now ,100 times)
bingo accord (get it , put it on a mem. stick and glove box it.)

look in the glove box area. the code should be on the outer edge of the glove box, a 4 digit code on a white sticker.

Hello los190uni.
I suspect you have a cabin air filter that is clogged.
In behind your glove box there is a 2 part air filter designed to reduce dust and pollen from coming through.
You need to remove the glove box, the frame around it and the cover for the filters.
They are a bit of a pain to do but not impossible. Honda should have designed it better than they did.

2004 honda civic will not stay running, it will start, run for about 2-3 seconds then die. I have found many post on older hondas and a "main relay" problem, however, i can not find any info on a 2004...

i have an 04 ex i had the car not start and then shut off i found it to be a ground in the engine bay the one in the front was coroded, and i also checked out the fuses and relays behind the glove box at they did was a clicking noise. hope that helps out.

99 Honda Civic won't start

It may be caused by a faulty ignition switch located where the ignition key is inserted. there may be some connections burnt and causing shorteges when starting. hondas are well known for having these cheap end switches....
